Rear seat stuck

I have an OT with bench rear seat. I was getting ready for a weekend camping trip and I put the passenger rear seat down. When I put it back up, it got stuck with the seatback in the most upright position and now it won't budge. I can't get it to recline to a normal position or fold forward. I know people have reported the seat levers breaking fairly easily, so I don't want to really crank on the seat lever. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I haven't experienced this on my GX but I have on other cars.

A tip that's worked for me on other cars is try pushing relatively hard on the seat back while you're pulling up on the lever, sometimes the mechanism isn't fully engaged when you put the seat back down. If this works, double check that debris hasn't fallen into the areas where the seat latches into the floor.
