Removing the roof rack Luxury GX 550

I got the tools. What I don’t know is what is this? I got two of these and have no clue.

I think those were strips attached to the bottom lip of the roof rack. From reports, people were taking them off since htey caused more noise. It hasn't been determined if they were part of the design or part of the packaging for the roof racks

When I got my lux + the dealer provided a kit with the tool, instructions and the plastic covers. It’s pretty easy took me 10 minutes to remove my rails.
Can you tell me how you got the black caps off? I want to take the cross bars off due to wind noise but I can not get those caps off and I don’t want to break them.

Pictures of removal kit attached with instructions and picture of the removal tool. Also picture of the four screws removed from roof rack.
But how do you get the caps off. The instructions show that you just pull the off. I was not able to get them off even with a small flathead screwdriver.

Can someone tell me how to get the caps off that cover the screws. I want to remove the cross bars due to noice but I can not get those caps to come off. The instructions show that you just pull it off. That did not work.

Will you be selling your crossbars? Let me know. Also, tell me more about the noise.

I will probably want to sell them. The noise is not horrible and I don’t notice it at all in the city, but we drive to Colorado every summer from Texas, about 12 hours, and I would rather not hear the wind noice on the highway once you hit about 80 mph. I also wonder if it will improve the gas milage.
