I picked up my Overtrail + and all four tire pressures are set to 40 psi. Could some of you share where your psi is set? The vehicle sticker recommends 35 psi so I may just drop mine.

My sensors read 39-40 but both my digital and analog gauges have the pressure at 35 now. I need to calibrate the sensors through the UI...

Most manufactures over-inflate vehicles during the manufacturing process and is common that they need to be adjusted to the sticker pressure. This is to help prevent flat spotting during storage and transport.

My dealer delivered my Premium+ with pressures in the mid 30s, but mileage in these things is terrible (not that I care about the cost, but the frequency of fill ups is annoying). Think the max psi on the 20” Yokohamas is closer to 50psi, so I’ve been planning to up the pressure significantly for road use.

Also waiting for KO3s or something more aggressive to be released in the right size…

Mine are set at 38. Milage is ok and I like the ride. They were set at 40 when I picked it up from the dealer. I got new tires with my Westcott build and they set the tires at 38 so I just kept them there. I don't really drive it that much. It sits in the garage during the week and I try to take it out on the weekends.

I’ve always run Toyos, and if you ask them, they’ll tell you to go off the door sticker.

Finally upgraded my OT OEM setup to Westcott / Method 703 / Toyo ATIII (285/75-17) yesterday, and Discount set them at 42psi (sidewall reads 50 max). Felt stiff as hell. Lowering down to 35 today and getting an alignment. Should feel much better.

Thanks to all the input here. Mileage may vary, but that’s okay…

Is it necessary to get an alignment after letting some air out?

I’m only asking, because I just installed the Westcott kit and K03’s and now I’m dealing with some steering wheel vibration. Tires are at 42 PSI and I just had everything rebalanced, but still having the issue. Not sure what to do.

I’d think steering vibration would be more of a balancing issue, but if you haven’t got an alignment after the lift, I would. KO3s are expensive and worth the $150 investment.

I had the lift done and then had the new wheels and tires balanced and aligned after install. I went back 1 week later and they said that the rear left tire was out of balance, so it was re-done. Still seeing the rear seats and steering wheel shake at 70mph on smooth roads.

My OT Toyo tires were at 41, I haven’t checked the spare. I do carry an air pump in the GX.
I lowered the 4 down to 35-ish, played around a bit. The ride is more comfortable on city streets that way. I still have the vibration thing going on. Leaving on a trip and have them at 38 now. All PSI from a couple very reliable hand gauges, checked by a cheaper, smaller 3rd gauge. The TPMS reads about 4 low.. I need to read manual and see if I can re-set, recalibrate it.
