👋 Welcome to the Lexus GX 550 Forum! Please post an introduction thread!

Hello all, 2026 Lux owner here from SE U.S. Coming from a Cayenne and absolutely loving every aspect of my GX550. Even on 22” wheels, I feel like I am floating down the road. I occasionally tow a light ATV trailer both on and off-road (mild). In my opinion, the GX550 is the perfect combination of luxury and utility. Looking forward to learning and contributing on the forum. First stop - the tire thread!

Hello, just joined. I am in the process of shopping for a OT+. Hopefully, not going to have to wait very long. Thanks for all the great info I am seeing.

Hey GX gang!
I got my Atomic Silver OT+ a couple of months back and I’m excited to be here on the forum.
I’m a big fan of Toyota and Lexus trucks. I’ve had a 2010 LC200 and a 2019 4R TRD Pro. But the one truck that has kept me entertained for 20 years and still going strong is my 2007 FJ Cruiser. I’ve built it just the way I like it, and it’s been a blast offroading—from the SoCal mountains and deserts to the Rubicon trail to Moab, and meeting awesome people who are so generous in sharing their knowledge and experience on the forums.
Fingers crossed this GX will keep me entertained and engaged for years to come.
I took this photo because I loved how the body lines were highlighted by the afternoon sun.

Hello, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. We have owned Toyota products (Land Cruiser among others) since 1980. More recently in the Lexus line a 2005 GX470, 2015 GX460 which we recently sold in anticipation of purchasing a GX550. Oh, we also own a 2002 SC430 convertible.

I joined about a week ago and am really enjoying the information and chat. I bought a 2025 Lux + for my wife back in November. We went with the Caviar with saddle tan leather and captains chairs in the second row. We absolutely love it!

Hello All. I just joined but have been following the site since mid 2024. I have 2025 Incognito Overtrail. I love the truck, using it at intended! Hauling my mountain bike, towing toys and some off-roading.

Hey GX550 people! I got my 2025 GX550 Overtrail back in October 2025 and just put 35s and lifted it. I hope to do some overlanding in it. I built a sleeping platform in the back for camping. I have been reading a lot of the posts and really great information.

Hello everyone, I recently joined the club from St. Johns, FL. I’ve been driving a 2025 Luxury+ for a little over six months now and have been really enjoying it so far.
I’ve scheduled a tuxedo-style top half wrap, and I’m also planning to upgrade to aftermarket wheels paired with Toyo all-terrain tires.
Looking forward to learning from the community and seeing everyone’s setups.

I realized that I joined this forum 2+ years ago as I was beginning to consider what my retirement vehicle was going to be as a replacement for my 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum (I had a similar 2009 HL before it).

Once I realized that the four-door Toyota trucks (Tacoma/Tundra) would not fit in my two car garage (length and height issues), and that I wanted true 4WD (not a car-based SUV's AWD), it came down to the 4Runner, LC, and GX 550. I decided on the GX 550 and in mid-January I got on the waiting lists of all four Lexus dealerships in DFW. I even purchased the same lift/tire/wheel set-up described here in February and put them in storage.

It took three months of waiting but my 2026 Luxury+ in Nightfall Mica finally came in late April and I had the lift/tires/wheels installed the next week.

I look forward to learning and sharing in this forum!

It is crazy to me that Lexus still can't seem to keep up with the demand for the GX 550. Glad you waited though! Welcome to the site!

Hello from Chicago area. Have a 2024 Overtrail+. Coming from Tacomas and 4Runners. My last was Lifted and Magnuson supercharged.
Magnuson has components for the GX550 engine now, does anyone have any insight to this upgrade? Would you consider doing the same to a twin turbo v6?

Hey all, longtime Toyota SUV fan here, and now a new GX 550 owner. I've owned a 2008 4Runner SportEdition for 18 years, and it's been like a loyal companion. But with a marriage on the horizon and a bunch of new adventures it was time for something new. And sure enough Toyota and Lexus come out with a slew of new trucks, basically a "shut up and take my money" kind of situation.

I live not far from Denver, Colorado but actually picked up mine at Bergstrom Lexus of Madison Wisconsin because the service there was absolutely fantastic and a much shorter waitlist. I got the Premium+ in Nightfall Mica, it's such great color it was well worth holding out for that specific color. And now I'm slowing adding a handful of small modifications like weather tech floor mat, window air deflectors, and eventually a ski rack / bike rack if anyone ever makes a good one that fits.

Hey yall hey!
Not new to Lexus. Saw the link posted to the enthusiast group. Have a ‘25p+ she’ll be 1 5/30. 18+k miles thus far. She just got a lift and new wheels/tires. Need to add the RTT back on and we are good to go for overlanding. 2 kids, own a Petcare biz and help out at a local brewery near md/pa line. IMG_2842.webpIMG_4551.webp

Absolutely No. I had a bad experience with Magnuson. Especially their customer service.

Looks great - just don’t pull a ‘Thelma and Louise’

Hello from Sapporo, Japan! 👋
Long-time Toyota/Lexus fan here. I currently drive a Land Cruiser 200, which has been fantastic, but I just placed an order for a GX550 Overtrail+ in Incognito (it's called "Titanium Carbide Gray" here in Japan) — delivery is expected in September and I honestly can't wait!

There isn't much of a GX550 community here in Japan yet, so this site looks like the best resource out there. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's builds and picking up some ideas before my truck arrives.
Thanks for having me, and glad to be aboard!

Just picked up my 26 GX550 OT+ in Incognito yesterday after having it wrapped, lifted, and wheels/tires added (what's an extra week after waiting 3 months). I've done overlanding before in my TRD Tacoma and mainly want the OT to delete the 3rd row. Still have stock OT wheels/tires so it might see some trail action if time allows.
