It’s easy. Premium has dark wheels and no fog lights, Premium plus wheels have the brushed accents and fog lights. Overtrail will have matte window surrounds, Overtrail plus will have glossy. Luxury will have the 22in wheels with fixed running boards, Luxury plus will have retractable running boards.

I'm just getting these differences burned into my memory. Them I'll probably forget in a few months after the new car excitement wears off.

For a Lux vs. Lux+ is, if the running boards are retracted you know it's a "+." If not retracted you can't use to differentiate because you don't know if they retract. So then then I look for a Dynamic Sky roof or a moon roof, a moon roof being shorter. If the moon roof is open it's an easy tell. This is my thinking, and how I process it.

Processing all these details is a challenge when I pass another GX coming at me in the opposite direction. The other day I was following a GX with Lux trim, and even with 20 seconds of looking I couldn't tell if it was a "+" or not. No matter it's still a pleasant thing to do.

You can still tell a Lux plus because the retracted running boards sit flush under the body. The fixed ones are very obvious and the two don’t look anything alike.

P.S: In regards to a base Lux showing a silver strip on the running boards, that silver strip even shows in the mockup of the vehicle in the backup camera views. See the attached picture, taken from inside my base Lux today.

You have to think about these generated views, the cameras on the vehicle do not capture the vehicle itself, the cameras face outward and downward and capture the surroundings only. The vehicle shown in the image is generated (synthesized) and Lexus went so far as to include the silver strip on the running boards on a Lux model.

2026 price includes destination charge. It looks like +$750 compare to 2025.

The MSRP increased every quarter in 2025 so it can be as much as ~$1,500 if you compare it to a MY25 Q1 build.

When we put our deposit down on Nov 10th for our '26 OT our sales rep told us we were #216 and would be 3-4 months (Northside Lexus in Woodlands TX). His estimates were pretty accurate for our '24 OT when we got on the list December '23.

We were hoping to get out of the coolbox but he told us there were only 4 non-coolbox GX's slated for the "southern region" and he wasn't sure if they'd even see one. Not sure if that meant "southern region" of TX or the US in general. Regardless we said we just wanted the first Incognito OT with black interior and thats what our estimate was based on.

I was really patient & lucky in getting the exact build I wanted for my 2025 OT, my unicorn does not have coolbox and came with moonroof delete. Good luck, and look forward to seeing the 2026's.

I've been on an Overtrail (Earth/Chateau) waitlist since April and was recently told it would be available late Jan/early Feb. Supposed to ship out this week.

The brake squeak to me reminds me of high performance brake pads …. Makes me feel like the early pads are really good but just noisy when cold …. Like a typical high performance pad

Right, and if it really bothering me I just crank a little Led Zeppelin or AC/DC. Then when I want th erace car again, I turn the radio down. My Land Cruiser did this same thing in reverse when cold. It helped to wake the neighbors.
