So my take aways are that it’s essentially the same vehicle.

New 2027 made in the Tahara plant in Japan - and only significant change is : “New for 2027, Luxury, Luxury+ and Overtrail+ grades come equipped with ventilated rear outboard seats. The third row is available in both power and manual seat configurations. A rear seat reminder is included as a safety and convenience feature.”

No sweeping changes to rear air conditioning, or rework of the useless phone charger. And the price didn’t bump significantly.

Seeing the published prices reminds me of the $15k difference between the premium and OT plus… it always makes more sense to buy the premium and change out suspension and tires ? For that delta you could invest in Kings/ Portals and 35 inch tires 🤔 and not be too far off the mark.

The limited changes puts me at ease owning a 2026 OT plus. 👍🏽🙂

Amazing - no major price increase w/ 15% tariff continuing to linger.
Many OEs would be passing that on without blinking.

I'm interested to see how the ventilation buttons for the rear are implemented on the OT+. The current configuration does not really have room to add another push button. They are going to either have to re-arrange the button layout under the vents OR hopefully they use the digital climate stack and put the vents back in the ceiling same as the Premium and Lux.

The current setup is such a miss by Lexus and made all the more frustrating considering every other trim of the Prado has the overhead vents. Even the Australian market OT+ gets them so why they axed them for the US is beyond me.

Not surprising given how long the previous-gen went with few changes. I’m glad I won’t be jealous of new features or new design elements. Plus, it’s already a great vehicle!

^ yes, full agree.

Am I missing something in these year-over-year announcements in that they don't ever specifically call out new or depreciated exterior body colors? The only way to find out is when one talks to a sales guy or wait until the formal MY brochures come out.

Caveat, I might be mixing up past experience with the GX 460 from when I was tire kicking but never bought one.
