I’m getting around 15 MPG COMBINED.May I ask what type of MPG you get after the tires upgrade?
Hello! It will fit in the trunk flat. I tried a 295/70 and we were able to fit it minus the rim but did not fit once mounted and using the pulley...I have a hitch carrier that I'm going to use when going on more difficult trails for long distances and also purchased a spare set of wheels to run the OEM tires when daily driving. This is the only way I could find to have a spare for daily driving and off roading. I don't like to have the hitch carrier installed with the swing out because I can't open the tail gate while in the garage, otherwise it wouldn't be a big deal...I should probably start working on a slide out carrier! The reverse sensors do beep but can never muted, the back up camera is blocked but surprisingly is not totally useless...
That's pretty good considering I am only getting 15.6 MPG average on my Stock OT. 2 inch bigger and only loses less than 1 mpgI’m getting around 15 MPG COMBINED.
indeed 35 fits easilyI posted a video in the videos section of the forum by ICON about fitment of various wheel/tire combos on an Overtrail. They did get some 35s on a stock Overtrail.

2024 Lexus GX550 Wheel Offset & Tire Size Guide | FULL CYCLE TEST
Excellent video from ICON Vehicle Dynamics showing fitments of various wheel/tire combos on an Overtrail.www.lexusgxforum.com
There is an old Aussie vid that explains a lot about the impact of lifts and larger tyres, for those with less experience this worth a watch:I'd be happy with 11" - 11.5" of clearance. I want to balance the increased ground clearance with maintaining droop to keep the tires on the ground over crosscuts or moguls.
Fantastic vid - thanks for posting it!There is an old Aussie vid that explains a lot about the impact of lifts and larger tyres, for those with less experience this worth a watch:
Lexyjoe - Those tires look great! I have the Overtrail + and would like to upsize tires without doing other modification. Do you have any rubbing? I notice that you went with a wider offset. If I want to keep the whole tire inside the wheel well do you think I would have a problem if I go with 35'?indeed 35 fits easily
Yes you will rub with a full 35 without modification. There are two rubbing points. If you go with a more negative offset like 0. It will be the front edge bumper and the front bracket area. I can take pics. If you go with a higher offset like 35 to 45s it will hit the inner bracket area and most likely the outer areas too.Lexyjoe - Those tires look great! Thanks for the valuable information! Super helpful.Yes you will rub with a full 35 without modification. There are two rubbing points. If you go with a more negative offset like 0. I think the sweet spot if upgrading rim is +35 offset if you want it flushed. A tires size of 285 70 17 would not rub. anything higher it will rub. If upsizing tire from the overtrail 18 inch rim its probably 275 70 18. This is without lift or modification.
Can you explain with pics?No lift kit yet. There are two brackets on not aft and aft inboard brackets that need to be removed. They are bolted on and accessible without removing the OEM tires. There is plenty of room and no rubbing stop to stop.
That confirms my research, although I dont have any first-hand experience fitting 35s. 35s will fit on a stock truck as long as your wheels have a high offset (>40). The stockers have +50.Do 35s fit on stock ‘24 GX? Facebook user claims yesView attachment 11302

+40 offset with 35" tires:
Unfortunately, your wheel choices are pretty limited when it comes to offset that high. I THINK that with my 1" factory lift (2025 Overtrail), I can fit a 34" with +15 wheels. If it turns out that the trimming is a little more involved, I would be okay with that to a certain extent.
Rays/Volk have some suitable options in 18" but I really want a 17" wheel. They had some high offset 17s last year but discontinued them for 2025! I may end up following your lead.Ya I’ve watched that too. Prob tire dependent whether it rubs on the crash bar or not. Re: offset I really want the Volk TE37 in 18x8.5 +44 but on backorder eta 5-6mo. I’ll prob just run some 285/75s on the OEMs for now
Ya 17s ideal but I HATE the options right now. Just have to be patientRays/Volk have some suitable options in 18" but I really want a 17" wheel. They had some high offset 17s last year but discontinued them for 2025! I may end up following your lead.
Good news! Based on this post from DustinFNW from the Land Cruiser forums (I forget. Are we allowed to fraternize with those guys?), it looks like FN has a high offset, 17" wheel in the works specifically for the new generation of LC and GX. ETA is 3-5 months.Ya 17s ideal but I HATE the options right now. Just have to be patient![]()
