BAD Seat Heaters 2025 GX 550 (3 Viewers)

SWFL GXOT+ owner here and just tried my seat heat for the first time during this last cold spell. The heat seat was on high and i could barely notice it was on. I was extremely disappointed with the performance of both the front and rear seat heaters. Anyone get resolve on this issue? My Navigator and F250 practically burn you they get so warm and we love it.

I have been through outside and third party testing and my seats on the 2025 GX 550 are definitely not working. Max by infrared therm is 75- 80 degrees. Without heat the seats were already at 75 degrees. Dealership says working like other GX on lot (and not fair to compare to other models). The loaner they provided heated to over 100 degrees. This is forcing me to sue Lexus (I’m an attorney) under lemon law and warranty. Typically, heated seats range from 80 degrees on low setting to 113 degrees on high. If anyone is having similar problem please call me at (513) 235-5126.
How do you find out the temperature of the seats because mine are horrible. They barely get cold or warm. I find this car is lacking. My stereo always disconnects from my phone not impressed with this car at all. Disconnected the foot opening feature for the back hatch because it never worked. it only liked to close when I was standing under it! have a hood that flaps in the wind when I’m going down I-95 and looks like it’s gonna blow off the car.

I expected the ventilated and heated seats to be quite bad after lurking this forum for a while before getting my GX, but once I got mine I have been happy with the performance of both. Granted, this is the first vehicle I've ever used heated seats on since I used to live in FL, but it seems good to me so far. Maybe I just don't have a comparison for what it could be.

Do you have a lux+, lux, or OT+ with massaging seats?

OT and Premiums have great heated and ventilated seats. My Premium+ loaner got way too hot for my comfort.

I do have an OT+ with the massaging seats as well, should have mentioned that. Either way, I hope it can be fixed for those that have poor performance.

Wife says the seats on our OT don’t get very warm. She uses heat year round. I have never used the heated seats in any of our vehicles as I can’t stand being hot on purpose, so it’s not a concern of mine.

I have the same issue with 2025 Luxury Plus. Took it 2x to the dealer and was told this is working as designed . Contacted Lexus customer care. I was extremely politely advised they will communicate this issue to proper department but have not heard back yet. IMHO, Lexus should make it clear that these "heated" seats are designed to be barely warm, clearly not "heated" like other vehicles. Disappointed in Lexus engineering.

Regretfully, I will be getting a new vehicle as this is deal breaker for me.

For Sale:
Pls contact me if you are interested in fully loaded (MSRP $87,750.00) white 2025 GX550 Luxury Plus with 2200 miles. 9.12.25 pick up date.

Though it’s annoying - I’ve ignored the issue as my Lab is the only one in the back seat and he has not complained much. The challenge for ditching the car for one issue is that depending on the vehicle (Land Rover for example) you’ll pick up exponentially more gremlins and other issues.

If your looking for a luxury car rather than over lander per se - pick up and x5 or x7 - they even drive better than the Luxury GX models
