BAD Seat Heaters 2025 GX 550

I have been through outside and third party testing and my seats on the 2025 GX 550 are definitely not working. Max by infrared therm is 75- 80 degrees. Without heat the seats were already at 75 degrees. Dealership says working like other GX on lot (and not fair to compare to other models). The loaner they provided heated to over 100 degrees. This is forcing me to sue Lexus (I’m an attorney) under lemon law and warranty. Typically, heated seats range from 80 degrees on low setting to 113 degrees on high. If anyone is having similar problem please call me at (513) 235-5126.
My 2025 driver seat is luke warm at best on the highest setting! My 10 yr old acura i traded in for this was 3x hotter. I use this feature alot no matter what temp is outside. I have only had this vehicle for 2 months. Very disappointing. Don't know where to even start with this complaint!!

Same issue on the seat heater not getting warm. I’m in AZ but I can still tell the difference when the seat heater NEVER changes the temp of the seat.

Lexus told me that is the best it can do and that is how the others on the lot are working. It was a lame excuse.

In response to jclaffee, my aim is to get what I paid for and not just give up. After arbitration, I can bring a suit and we'll see how many 2024-2025 GX rear seat heaters are actually working. I've wasted a lot mor time on even more fruitless lawsuits. It's a principle thing a this point.
If you've got spare time to go to court with Lexus on the principle of your butt temp, have at it and bravo!. Keep us posted on progress please, should be interesting to follow.

"Lexus told you" as in the dealer or Lexus North America?

Do the seats thermoregulate to a certain temperature?

So if you are driving around in California where it’s hot it’s not surprising the seats don’t heat up that far past an ambient temperature.

Meanwhile, when it’s 30 below where I am I can assure you my seats heat up to well above ambient temperature lol

Seems like it’s more of an intentional decision for both comfort and safety reasons. Not a fault.

Caveat emptor

I live in CA - but had my car throughout the winter. In the mountains where the temps were in the 20's - rear seat heaters completely suck - not even lukewarm.

I’m in Gunnison County, Colorado it’s often the coldest place in the lower 48……. These seat heaters are terrible. The seat heaters in our Ford, Jeep and Land Rover are all significantly warmer. It’s a bummer, but my dealer also says they are working as they should.

My heated seats suck too on my Luxury Plus. The dealer told me they are heating with in the specs for the GX which is terrible. I own three other vehicles with heated seat and all of them warm up nice. This is my first Lexus and right now probably my last. My wife was thinking of getting an RX or NX but doubt that's going to happen now.

The seats in the OT+ have ventilation, massage and heat. I'm not sure but that's probably 2 or 3 different layers of stuff in there. So something is going to be buffered by something else. My wife and daughter are pretty descriminating and they are stoked by all of them. Zero complaints here.

Texas may be the place for you

In order to do a Lemon Law return it has to be a safety issue and the same exact problem 3 times that cannot be fixed. I don't think bum warmers will qualify.

When I spoke to Lexus NA the rep told me they know many are dissatisfied with the rear seat heaters. Best thing to do is everyone log a complaint with the national customer service team - the more of those they see the better
