Has anyone tried to remove the black emblem overlays? They are coming on my new OT+. But since it is Caviar (black) in color, I’d rather have the chrome so that they stand out more. Wasn’t sure if they could be removed.

They should just pull off - they are stuck on with sticker adhesive as far as I know. Hopefully the black emblem adhesive is weaker than the adhesive holding the letters to the body. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That’s my concern.

Put them on mine. They are very thin but that adhesive is pretty strong. If you use a heat gun easy does it. Don’t think it would take much to deform them and in case they don’t come off easily would hate to eff them up.

I believe these may be dealer installed. Ask your salesperson to confirm. Perhaps they can leave them off. My L+ came with the black emblems. I would have preferred without but I have grown to like the look.

Wow - with all the threads talking about covering the chrome up - this is a first!
Yeah, with any other color I think I’d like the black emblem overlays. I’m just not sure I like it with the Caviar (black) that I’m getting.

Were you able to remove the black emblems. We are in the same situation where we are getting a caviar with emblems pre installed

I have blacked out all chrome logos on the vehicle except the steering wheel emblem. If I can do that without it blowing up - that is next

Port installed I think. We asked our dealer to remove them from the install list and they did.

Here is the front logo covered and how the wheels look. You'll need to have the dealer pop the center caps when they rotate the tires - otherwise you will scratch the metal/plastic

Exactly what I’m trying to achieve on the front logo of mine. Your rig looks great btw! If you come through SLO.. reach out and will have u for a meal and check it out in person 👍🏽

Believe the front color film is a smoke to just cover but not black out. I used plastic lug covers and then sprayed the center caps after dealer removed and those covers with Rustoleum 7250830 Metallic Black Midnight. Its about 99% of the right color.

Your rig looks great as well - atomic silver is such a great color. I'm up in Paso quite a bill - will reach out when I'm heading north again!
