Port installed add ons you hate most

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my dealership will let me port delete some options like some other dealerships have across the country.
When I was notified in September that they had a match (been waiting since Feb). They sent me the specs, I asked and my dealer said anything marked PIO (port installed options) I could decline them. Things like the Key Koozie I waved. The FIO (Factory) couldn’t be changed. So, stay plugged in and get notified before your car makes it to the port

As I'm rehoming my OT crossbars I got to thinking of other port installed options that annoy me. Not because I don't like the options, but due to Toyota's sales snd distribution model you get what you get. Yeah the stereo is underwhelming and the crossbars and cool box will never get used by me. PPF is nice if it's installed correctly (mine isn't and waiting on a call back when new pieces come in).

The one that annoys me the most is the black emblem. One hundred and ninety nine dollars for a single piece of plastic. At least when Toyota robbed me in a similar manner there were 4 emblems that get "upgraded" from chrome to black. On the Lexus it's a single "GX550."

Kudos to the guy that schemed that one.
Is there a way to remove the black emblem overlays without damaging the chrome letters?

For me it was the pricey traffic jam assist and moon roof. At least the other unwanted crap was cheaper and benign, the moon is noisy now, might leak later, and risky when I load a heavy rooftop kayak or canoe

They're individually taped on to each character. I'd imagine it would be easier to remove all the emblems and start over with new chrome ones. Heat them up and peel off. Clean up the remaining adhesive and stick on new ones.

I'm a fan of the black emblems just not the inflated upcharge.

Thanks! I’m not necessarily opposed to the black emblem overlays. I just don’t think they work on a black (Caviar) vehicle. They look sharp on colors like earth and atomic silver where’s there’s a contrast (especially if those have a black top.

I got mine back in May and it was already at the dealer, so there was no option to remove anything. I liked the roof rack, it looked cool and beefy, but it's sitting in my barn because it was just too much wind noise for long trips. I like the rugged rear cargo mat. I don't even mind the key fob gloves, it keeps the fob quiet and protected from my other keys in my pocket. I like the HUD, but I don't use it all that much, I kinda forget it's there. I like the Traffic Jam Assist, it actually works very well in heavy congestion. I was disappointed at how small the cool box is and that there is very limited storage, but i also realized i kept a lot of crap in my Tundra console that i really never used, so now I keep 4 water bottles in the cool box and it's actually pretty great on a hot day to have a cold water at the ready. I never use the wireless charger other than a a place to store my sunglasses. I think the black emblem covers look sharp, but $200 should result in a class action lawsuit for price gouging. The tonneau cover is fine so that i can hide stuff if needed, but the cargo net was folded up the day I got the vehicle and never used. Mine has the steps, and while I would greatly prefer aftermarket rock rail steps, I love in the Midwest and I am starved for places that are not paved or places that have much more than gentle rolling terrain. There are some, but I'm not spending any time in those places yet. That's all I can think of for now.
