I've had my deposit on the OT+ for about 6 months now. It seems even less OT+ are being shipped these days and Lexus has stopped taking deposits. (At least where I live). Thinking of going to a broker but not sure what the extra premium they charge is going for these days... Anyone buy through a broker?

I've used brokers from leasehackr before, but only on cars with extreme discounts

I imagine it might not be a bad idea, but not sure if you'd be able to get much of a discount

There won’t be a discount! I was wondering how much more I’d have have to pay.

I looked into this, was looking at around $3k over MSRP. The issue was they weren't going to be able to locate anything that I couldn't on my own. I would call Pembroke Pines and the other handful of dealers that are high volume with short waitlists that people have mentioned here who ship vehicles. Give them what you want and handle it yourself. For this car, it seems like the broker's value is you don't have to call dealerships and arrange shipping. I'd rather put that $3k into a roof rack and a ceramic coat.

After being on the 4 local dealerships waitlists for a year, I sold our trade in privately, called every dealership within a 10 hour drive. There were 3 or 4 who didn't do mark ups/mandatory dealer add on. Called or texted those dealerships every 2 weeks to tell them I was interested. Ended up getting an allocation after 3 months and they let me remove all port options saving me about $3k. Had a few vehicles that didn't meet our specs offered as well. Wired money the day before I flew out. Was in and out of the dealership in about 45 minutes. (I couldn't get comfortable with buying and shipping but that is just me.)

They offered to have me complete the purchase the night before and hand the keys over at the airport but I wanted to be able to turn down the car if something was wrong. We are in CO, dealership was in Wichita.
