Cooled Seats Extremely Weak. Common issue? (1 Viewer)

I live in Atlanta and have been surprisingly unimpressed with the cooled seats. I'm not sure if it's because I have massaging seats or is this is a general issue. Much weaker than any other vehicle I've owned with this feature. Anyone else noticing this? Also, the AC always appears to be on regardless of if I have the blue "AC" indicator on or not.

I agree, but it's not weak enough to bother me. I can tell you that the ventilated seats in the new Sequoia are much stronger. However, it seems about the same as my wife's '23 highlander.

I live in SoFla. Keep them at 3 24/7. They do seem kinda week but think thats the norm

I'm in MO (4 seasons) with Lux+, all "premium" features of the seats are average at best. The ventilated AC fan is weak, the heated option is also barely noticeable and the massage feature is unremarkable. All that said, I still love the vehicle and have just come to accept that I paid a lot of $$ for bunch of extras that simply are not worth the price.

anyone tried something like this yet? My GX has not come in yet, so I'm not sure if any of the current variations offered will work or if they have to create a new model

I definitely notice the cooled seat feature here in Arizona. Sometimes I lean forward a bit at a stoplight to stretch and I can feel the cool breeze rippling the back of my t-shirt. It freaked me out the first time it happened. I just leave the driver's seat on automatic but I only turn the passenger seat on if I have a passenger - I've noticed that my day planner on the driver's seat can activate the cooling feature.

-2 will have the fan run as much as possible.

That setting doesn't increase the fan speed or power - it simply gets the seat to automatically ventilate (if you have it set to auto) at higher cabin temperatures.

For example, at 0, the fan may engage when you set the temp to 70 or lower. At -2, it may ventilate with the temp set to 72 or lower (as an example - not sure if the numbers correlate to temperature).

Lux + with massage seats? Wait until the weather gets cold. You will be more unimpressed with the heated front seats. I have been in to Lexus USA about the issue for months now. No Solution offered. Poor design IMO. How Lexus quality control let this one slip is befuddling. Hopefully your GX received an updated configuration/design that works. Stay Warm!

My heated seats appear to work pretty well for me, but definitely not as hot as some cars - including my partner's mazda3.

I wonder if maybe they made a production change? My lux+ was built July 2025. Sadly, both of my front seats have a lumbar leak - one step forward, two steps back.

Does your GX have the massage option? The common denominator on the heated front seat issue seems to be the massage option. Massage components overlaying the climate components. Poor conduction of heat/cold...doesn't make it to the surface of the seat.
