That's a big bummer! My '26 OT+ is coming in next month. I specifically waited to order this truck in the hopes that they get the engine issue resolved. However, I'm still hearing of people having issues on 25's and 26's. Please keep us updated on the findings and ultimate resolution.

Did a change at 100 miles, 1k miles, and every 5k. Waiting on a tow, so just keeping myself busy

Oh Man...sorry to hear that.....When you are able to, can you let us know exactly what happened? Were you just driving and lost power, or did something literally blow up?
Damn!!! And 51K miles already? I thought I had high miles at about 33k.

Crusing on the highway, check engine light popped with reduced power message/limp mode. Stopped and engine was vibrating like crazy.
I believe the power train warranty is 6 years or 70,000 miles.

At signing, the dealer convinced me on the 120k extended, thankful for that upsell now.
The silver lining is you get a new engine at 51k - basically a new car again.
I personally haven't seen a single 25 or 26 with an engine failure on here or the facebook groups. Not saying there haven't been, but I haven't seen an example of one blowing outside of the 2024 recalls yet. I'd be interested to see if there are examples, otherwise I still feel very good about my 2026.
So outside the recall which covered the production window through April 10, 2024 and supposed changes to #1 bearing. Yikes. Updates as you know more please.

Outside the recall date. Techs won't be able to get to it until next week for whatever reason; at least I can count on the free loaner.
Why I’m a huge advocate for the zero deductible, 10 yr / 100k Lexus Warranty - best $3500 you can spend!!
I have one. It’s a flawed design. If they don’t fail, it’s just luck.
Ive been looking around for a quote……. did you purchase this in CA or go outside of the area? Ive been quoted over 6k from Santa Barbara Lexus.
