Ended up being a faulty oxygen sensor that was causing the right bank to read lean and cause misfires, leading to the CEL. Oil was checked and no glitter in it. Breathing a sigh of relief.

I had an Audi SQ5 that did that to me twice. Very unnerving when it happened at high speed on the freeway

Great news - something very fixable. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve though a vehicle was DOA - and it turned out to be either some flow or oxygen sensor or a bad coil ..

This reinvigorates our confidence in our awesome vehicles!!!

We had a O2 sensor poop out the first week we had our GX. First and only time that’s happened out of all the vehicles I’ve owned. Quick and easy fix though and she’s run perfectly ever since.

Glad it happened to be an easy fix! Also at least as far as I am aware, that brings us back to no engine failures outside of the initial recall period(and only maybe 2-3 total even within the recall period?).
