Installed a full Fox Factory Race Series suspension a few months ago and wanted to share some thoughts, insights, and challenges. I'm not a great photographer so take the pictures below for what they are.
Running 35" Mickey Thompsons, on Method 35+ wheels. Weld 74 UCA. CBI bumpers and sliders.
Issue #1: When the suspension was installed, the reservoirs as so big that my wheels did not clear them. So we had to add 1" spacers to push the wheels out. Currently sitting at +10 (35 less 25 for the spacer) and think I can get away with anything from 0 to +18/20 (+25 barely touches). Just an FYI as anyone looking at this suspension needs to be aware of.
Issue #2: I have the CBI rear bumper which caused issues with the rear reservoir mounting points. The CBI has a bracket that shortens how deep you can install the reservoir per Fox's instructions. This causes and issue where the res isn't fully seated and it can rattle or make a loud "thump" when you go over bumps. I had a shop cut off that CBI bracket and custom weld in a different location to allow the Fox Res to be mounted properly per the instruction (pic below is the after).
Issue #3: I started off with ICON dual rate springs that were a 2" lift (FYI I am in a 2024 OT+). The ride kinda sucked. The front was glass and the rear was loud and I felt everything. I think this was due to being to high in the ride zone, so switched to the Eibach 1.5" and what a difference, whole ride feels great. I've got about a 1/2 inch of rake in the pics below.
Overall i'm very very happy with the suspension and feel that the ride is greatly improved on and off road. I have played with the compression adjustments and will play with the low speed between 2-4 for most situations and highspeed I set at 4 and haven't touched since as the vehicle feels really stable in all conditions. I can't compare to Kings or anything else as I haven't tried them, but I'm very happy with my purchase other than the 3 issues above which required trial an error as well as the additional cost of now looking for an offset in the 10-18 range on a wheel I like.
