Curious if anyone has put a growly set of Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac on their 2024 GX550 Luxury+?

Trying to "recreate" the OT+ image.

These came stock on my Siverado Trail Boss and I got rid of them. They weren't very good at anything and became louder and louder as they wore. There are better choices out there including Falken Wildpeak AT4w, Toyo AT3, or BFG KO3.

Thanks for the heads up and lessons learned.

I am waiting for my 2025 OT+ to arrive, but will go ahead and answer anyway as I have the newer Wrangler Duratrac RT on my 2024 Sierra HD Ultimate. Load range E.

I also have experience with the non-RT Goodyear Duratrac as well as the Goodyear Ultraterrain, which is the Discount Tire only Goodyear tire and is styled like Duratrac.

The non RT Duratracs got loud within 10k miles and always felt harsh. Long wearing but so loud.

The Ultraterrains had the best winter performance, but also "felt" like a winter specific tire as they are siped and have rather soft tall treads that seem to squirm. Quiet till the end. Tall soft treads made them rock chuckers.

The new Duratrac RT so far (7k miles), has remained quiet and is the sweet spot for me. More tread stability than Ultraterrain, but much more compliant than original Duratrac. I haven't looked at the RT sizes to see if there will be something for my OT+, but I will definitely consider them. Just my .02.

Thanks. Great heads up.

I've owned quite a few SUVs, trucks, and cars and on SUVs, the Wrangler Duratrac has been one of the best all around tires I've ever owned for driving around town, road trips out west, snow bashing 4x4 trails in Colorado, wheeling in Moab, and confidently encountering an unexpected snow storm in Colorado. On a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with 35" tires, I put 45K miles before upgrading to 37" BFG KO2s which are great offroad but mediocre in snow. I also ran Duratracs on a Ford F250 diesel and a Chevy Tahoe and loved them on both vehicles. The only downside will be a very very slight increase in road noise probably inaudible around town and also inaudible on the highway with a slight increase in the radio's volume :).

Of the Toyo, Nitto, Cooper, BFG, and Wranglers on an offroad capable SUV, I found the Wrangler Duratracs the best overall do everything pretty well tire. Not familiar with Falken brand as I do not see folks talking good or bad on forums about that tire on an offroad capable SUV. But worth consideration.

The Wrangler Duratrac RT LT tire is going on my 2025 OT+ once I have a spacer lift installed to accommodate a 35" tire.

Good luck with your decision.
