Thanks for the heads up and lessons learned. These came stock on my Siverado Trail Boss and I got rid of them. They weren't very good at anything and became louder and louder as they wore. There are better choices out there including Falken Wildpeak AT4w, Toyo AT3, or BFG KO3.
I am waiting for my 2025 OT+ to arrive, but will go ahead and answer anyway as I have the newer Wrangler Duratrac RT on my 2024 Sierra HD Ultimate. Load range E.Thanks for the heads up and lessons learned.
Thanks. Great heads up.I am waiting for my 2025 OT+ to arrive, but will go ahead and answer anyway as I have the newer Wrangler Duratrac RT on my 2024 Sierra HD Ultimate. Load range E.
I also have experience with the non-RT Goodyear Duratrac as well as the Goodyear Ultraterrain, which is the Discount Tire only Goodyear tire and is styled like Duratrac.
The non RT Duratracs got loud within 10k miles and always felt harsh. Long wearing but so loud.
The Ultraterrains had the best winter performance, but also "felt" like a winter specific tire as they are siped and have rather soft tall treads that seem to squirm. Quiet till the end. Tall soft treads made them rock chuckers.
The new Duratrac RT so far (7k miles), has remained quiet and is the sweet spot for me. More tread stability than Ultraterrain, but much more compliant than original Duratrac. I haven't looked at the RT sizes to see if there will be something for my OT+, but I will definitely consider them. Just my .02.
