Hi,

As the title states I am wondering if anyone has any real world examples with 34" or 35" tires on a 2025 OT or OT + with the 1" higher lift using the the stock suspension and wheels?

Thanks!!

I am just about to have some 265/70R18 Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws installed on my stock '25 OT because I understand the 285/70R18 (34s in a Load Range C) won't fit in the spare underneath.
I would really like the extra protection and clearance of the larger tire, but want to carry the same spare.

If someone could help out with ideas on the spare it would be much appreciated!!

Why wouldn't you go with 275/70R18 if you wanted a little more tire?

Interesting. I thought 285/70 fit, it was the 285/75 that did not.

Just went through this entire exercise for my OT. I ended up getting 285/75/r17 tires (17" wheels, +35mm offset) and there is zero rub at all (no after market lift kit). If you keep the stock wheels (18", 50mm offset), 285/70/r18's are .1 inch smaller than mine, so you wouldn't have any rub either. This website was very helpful to see comparisons of two different tires:

Also, this video was great and discusses how wheel offset definitely makes a difference with whether a tire will rub or not. He makes it sound like 285/75/r18s would fit without rub. I had no idea what offset was before diving into all this.

Hope this helps!

Good catch @incognito.gx
A quick check and I found the below post from @TenaciV :
"Just confirming that I was able to get the 285/70/R18 spare to fit without airing it down. Definitely can’t go larger than a 34” diameter spare w/o modifications. Trailing ground clearance is sacrificed and you can definitely see the tire poke but I think that’s worth the peace of mind having a full sized spare on standby."

I have a set coming to perform a fit check on Wednesday, hopefully, and will provide an update on how it goes.

The right 35s will fit . I put 315 70 17 Goodyear wrangler rt ( 2025 Bronco 35 tire ) on the lc 250. Stock rear suspension with front 1.3 inch leveling kit .
The tires have a narrow contact patch despite being 315s and the lightest tires out there (53lb) . I believe you can order them through ford dealer for 230 each . Best 35 option all around

I would argue with you, but I'm not sure what offset my shop used nor what is does to help or hurt with rubbing.

My 2024 OT has 2025 springs on it so 1” higher in the front/rear than 2024 standard.

Tire shop did me a favor and tried a Falken AT4W in 35 x 11.5 - 18 on stock OT wheel for me today. At 34.9” it interfered solidly with the front fender liners.

Someday when I want to work at it a little harder I think they would fit.

So easy way out is they have instead ordered AT4W 285/70-18’s for me. Will be installed this weekend.

My criteria is ‘C’ load, 3MP snow rating, AT and use the factory OT wheels (which I like). Lot’s of ‘E’ tires in 18”, not so many ‘C’s in 2025. I expect more options (including ‘small’ 35s) in future.

Sorry, didn’t grab pix. Positive feedback to America’s Tire for being great sports to try.

I think…that’s the size and exact tire I’m headed towards after I get my ARB/OME MT64 suspension installed in a couple weeks.
If I go up to that size, I have to figure out the spare tire situation I believe. I’m currently on 275/70-18 on my 2024 OT with original wheels.

Post pics when done. Exact setup I plan on running

I've got 275/75-17s being installed, which is almost exactly the same size tire as yours. My wheels, however, are +25 offset. So we'll see if that causes any rubbing issues. I'll post pics when I get it back.

You'll be perfectly fine with these tires. Some rubbing may occur with 285/75R17. Anything smaller will not rub.

I didn't like any of the available options.
I'm sure you saw these, but they fit the bill for me perfectly. Not too wide, as tall as will fit with spare, 3 peak snow rating, strong sidewalls and belts, great tread pattern if you use your OT off road. Mickey Thompson 275/70/r18 on stock OT wheels. Pics in link.

Just got a call from the installer saying that they were able to fit 285/75r17s with no rub. Can't wait to pick it up. This is on a 2025 OT+ with just the Peak 1.25in front leveling kit.

I was trying to stay away from E rated tires for better road compliance. How have those been working out for you?

That's the exact tire I have here.
