24 vs 25 OT OEM 1” Lift Details via reddit

Hey folks, was able to get my coils installed last week. I opted to install Peak’s 1.25” front leveling kit while I was at it. Results are exactly as other have stated (plus the added leveling kit increase).

Wheels are Method MR314 (18x9 w/ 18mm offset)
Tires are Falken Wildpeak AT4 285/70/R18

Fitment note: These are a true 34” diameter tire and I definitely got rubbing w/ the MR314 offset that required additional trimming even w/ the increased lift. Not that big of a deal as I have the NYTOP bumper that required trimming anyway but know that it is TIGHT w/ this larger tire. Other 285/70/R18’s, like from NITTO, are less than 34” and probably would have been a better choice in hindsight.

Thank you for all the information and detail! Exactly what a lot of us were waiting for. Unless someone figures out how to stuff that 285 spare under the back end, I'll be doing the same thing but with the 275 AT3's. Now to just find someone to install the springs here in Houston as I like to limit my drives through Baton Rouge on I-10 to "never again if I can help it"
Just confirming that I was able to get the 285/70/R18 spare to fit without airing it down. Definitely can’t go larger than a 34” diameter spare w/o modifications. Trailing ground clearance is sacrificed and you can definitely see the tire poke but I think that’s worth the peace of mind having a full sized spare on standby.

Hi guys , I’ll take someone 2024 oem springs …. I wanna lower the rear on my 2025 …. I’m not a fan of this much rake

Hi, I'm about to have my 25 springs installed on my 24OT, and I have the NYTOP bumper on there now. I know you have the Peak lift, but if you can speculate, do you think a slightly less than 34" tire would fit without rubbing on my setup? I hereby absolve you from any later "but you told me..." comments.

Happy to hear this. Plan go go 285/70 when the OEMs go

I think you'll have smooth sailing man..iirc you have stock wheels so that OEM wheel offset will be in your favor. Also, according to this fitment guide they were able to get a slightly less than 34" tire (Nitto Recon Grappler 285/70R18) on a '24 OT.

Also, there is some good discussion/corroboration in this thread. As well as this post from the Fitment thread.

The NYTOP bumper is certainly heavier than stock (~70 lbs?) - I personally don't think that is enough weight to compress the springs enough to reduce your ability to fit that tire size. Speculation, of course.

Hi, thanks for this info!
As far as weight goes, I got the aluminum version of the NYTOP bumper. I weighed the parts I removed and the NYTOP bumper before install and the net increase was only 27lbs.

I’m also interested in a pair of ‘24 rear coils. If anybody else is looking to get rid of theirs, please let me know

Santa Barbara Lexus, Hugo my service guy…. quoted me $1050 for the front and $1250 for the rear. Im going to try this first and see if I like it, if not then Ill purchase the rear springs.
I would suggest finding an offroad outfitter near you to do the install. For example, several outfitters in Los Angeles or Orange County would install full suspension like King or Icon for $1,000 to $1,500. I think charging $2,300 is excessive.

I paid 600 with alignment

My install is set for about a week from now. I'm going to take pictures before and after in a particular spot with the camera on a tripod, in addition to measuring. It will be interesting to see the side by side pics I think (I hope!)

Sharing as an FYI on 2025 coil spring availability/shipping/price.

Ordered from https://lexus.oempartsonline.com/. Order will filled by Lexus of Stevens Creek.

I kept my order in place and asked them to ship when all parts received.

The body/paint/build out was done by a good friend of mine in West Plains, MO named Jason Harris at Ozark Overland Outfitters. My mechanical stuff on the 80, and my others, has been done with an another good friend of mine named Eric Gunther at Eric's Automotive in Pascagoula, MS. He was the master mechanic for nearly 20 years at the local Toyota store and decided to open his own shop a few years back. He's the only guy on the gulf coast that I let touch my trucks.

He just finished the spring upgrade on my GX550 and here is the outcome:

The measurements he took were from the center of the fender at each wheel from the ground.
Third photo is how sits currently and fourth one is the best photo I had of the side profile before.
Mine are getting installed Monday. My measurements pre-install are about 1" lower than yours as I am using the stock OT tires. I took a side picture at a marked spot and will redo once it is installed to do a visual compare (as well as measuring too).
Best,
Mark
