I picked up my Overtrail+ a couple weeks ago and have started working on my build. I have a lot of parts on order and will be posting as things are installed. The first things to go in were my kennel, storage unit and Molle panels. The kennel is an Impact crate large (fits with the rear seats in place, the Molle panels are DV8OffRoad and the storage is by Overland Vehicle Solutions. I wired a charge behind the passenger Molle panel to charge my lights and kennel fan. I have a Prinsu rack & ladder, lights and a NYTop front bumper on order. I’m looking for recommendations for a rear bumper/tire carrier as I plan on installing an expanded gas tank when they are available from Extended Range America. I’m open to any suggestions! Thanks for checking it out.

Woof woof!

That built out is so nice. If you had the LC hybrid you would need a smaller crate and dog.

I finally got my roof rack and lightbar installed. The rack is Prinsu and the lights are from Ridged. I also added the powder coated handles in red.

Looks great, but we need more pics of the hero pup! 🐕‍🦺

First of all, thank you for the incredible work you and your K9 do! Building out a rig for actual Search and Rescue missions takes the concept of purpose-built to a whole new level. When lives are on the line, your gear configuration has to be 100% reliable, and there is absolutely no room for trunk chaos. 🐾🐕‍🦺

As people who spend our days engineering storage systems at Wheels Feels, we completely understand why a flawless layout matters for a build like this. If you are looking at heavy-duty organization options for the new Overtrail platform, here is how our setups help keep things mission-ready:
  • 100% Rattle-Free: We 3D scan the GX cargo area to ensure a perfectly flush fit against the trim. There are no squeaks or shifting parts on rough trails, which keeps the environment quiet for your K9.
  • Heavy-Duty Security: Our locking drawers slide out smoothly on industrial-grade runners, keeping expensive rescue gear secure, organized with modular dividers, and completely hidden from plain sight when the rear door is shut.
  • No-Drill Installation: The system mounts directly into the factory tie-down locations using stock bolts. You get a rock-solid, professional-grade basecamp setup without modifying or damaging your vehicle's interior.
We would love to see how this build progresses and how you end up configuring the space alongside the K9 kennel. Feel free to check out the exact dimensions of our GX model systems on our website to see how they will line up with your rescue gear! 🔩

P.S. - we’re running a Father’s Day Special with 20% OFF this week.
