Rear Seat Belt Reminder

I am having a random issue when I get out of the vehicle I gat a notice to check my rear seats even though nobody is in the back of the vehicle. Anyone else experiencing this?

I do, but I have a dog cover in the back seat so I assumed it was because of that. Do you have anything sitting in the back seat?

I get reminders too - I have two booster seats back there so it must think someone is still back there. I love how the supposed enlightened people say to put something important in the back seats like your purse so that you don't forget your kids. LOL

If it is an annoyance, you can disable it in you options. See page 573 of manual.

Thanks. I disabled it in settings. In reading the manual I thought it was based on pressure on the back seats but the manual stated that it was based on opening the rear doors.

4Runners had and have the same reminders, nothing new. Its not based on pressure just a convenience thing.

I checked again today. After disabling in options, I still get a rear seat icon on the lower left of display. No more text messages though.
