TBC would not activate (1 Viewer)

I tried hooking up my GX550 to a trailer for the first time, and I could not get the trailer brake controller to activate.
I did watch the instruction video that was helpful so I thought it would be easy. I got the screen to come up on my instrument panel so I was able to adjust the boost but that same screen kept saying my TBC was not activated so it showed the image of my vehicle, but no trailer. What was I doing wrong?

Have you chosen your brake type?
On the center screen, it’s under settings,, vehicle customize, utility.

You connected the 7-pin, right?
4-pin doesn’t engage any of the TBC features, only 7-pin.
