We started inquiring about GX 550 allocations in early November 2024, but wasn’t able to get a deposit on an allocated model until February 2025. Just picked up our Premium+ yesterday! So it was almost a 6 month process for me start to finish, and about 3 months from getting allocated to delivery.
We used Lexus Kansas City North and our salesperson was Dennis DeGoosh. I highly recommend him as he was the only salesperson that came thru for me. I had contacted about 6 dealerships in the Midwest with no luck before reaching Dennis in January; he got me an allocation and deposit down by February!

We actually picked it up today! all told, about 2 months from deposit to possession. Thank you Adrian from Lexus of Louisville.

Put a deposit down on April 18 for a 2025 Premium+, Nightfall Mica, Saddle Tan, rear captain's chairs. Supposed to arrive by the first week of June.
I was in contact with 3 Boston area dealers over the past several weeks and they all had unallocated inventory coming in this Spring. Decided this one was the right combination and did a credit card deposit over the phone.

I put a deposit down (my 4th deposit with a 4th out of state dealership) on April 3 and got my a few weeks later on April 23rd! I had initially put down my deposit on February 12th and was told it would take about a year for an Earth OT. Then put another deposit down at another dealership for a nori green (my second choice) that had been allocated to me with a delivery for early May. I also had a deposit down at Longo Lexus in SoCal with my friend who works there (Marc Fata, if any of you need a contact). Still wanting to get an earth despite having said "yes" to the nori green, I started stalking various dealerships and found my baby! It's currently getting full front PPF, ceramic coating, and ceramic window tints. New tires, a level kit, and spacers will be done on Friday. Then I have to move my dog's car kennel set-up from my 4Runner to the GX, and I can start taking it out on trails.
My advice...be persistent, search out of state, and the various FB groups were also super helpful.

That's similar to what I did. Went to local dealer, test drove a used '24 and put a deposit down on 3/16. Didn't like the open ended wait so started scouring dealerships in all surrounding states and found one that was close enough to what I was looking for a couple states away that wasn't spoken for. Wired payment on 3/19 and did a one way rental and picked it up on 3/22. Was prepared for a months long wait, but after reading this thread I feel lucky to have only gone 6 days from test drive/deposit to delivery. Deposit with local dealer was refundable.

I agree with you on being open to talking with dealerships in other areas. We put a deposit down 11 months ago at a local dealership and were starting to get frustrated. I started doing some internet hunting and posted what we were looking for on this Facebook page,
Lexus GX 550 Owners & Enthusiasts.
Within a week we had 2 GX's that were exact matches and 2 more that were close. Ironically our local dealership also called that same week with a vin on the one we were waiting for. Since they have been helping us all along we have decided to wait for our original allocation that will be here in June. Went from nothing to having 5 to pick from.

Well, after about 12 months of waiting for my 2025 OT+ in incognito / black roof with chateau interior, I was notified today that I got my official allocation. Woohoo! Due to arrive in early July and thank goodness no rock rails or roof rack to port delete. Dealership was nice enough to port delete crossbars. I added PFF front, all weather liners, body side mounding, and door edge film. Will very likely add the Land Cruiser roof rack on my own. Can’t wait.
After a 12 month wait I've had my OT+ for a couple weeks now and love it so far.
Still waiting on mine from Longo Lexus. Deposit was made on 12/24. They offered me my spec but with bench seats instead of captain chairs but I declined.
Hey, did they give you any time frame as to when it might be available? I’m debating which dealer to try to land an allocation from. Thanks!
Been looking for a Prem+ in Mica with Saddle. A local dealer said they are expecting one in July, and I could reserve it with a $3k deposit...says it's refundable if I don't like the car when it arrives. Waiting for the details in writing, but hoping it all goes well. First Lexus btw - and have never been through this "ordering" process.
We put a $1000 deposit down in mid-April, and the vehicle arrived on Friday. Mica and Saddle looks good.

Last month I was on vacation in Palm Springs. I saw they had the 25 OT+ in Earth that I wanted, but it said "pending sale." I called the dealership and they said the truck was due to be delivered in 3 days and it was not sold. I told them I'm on my way to the dealership and I'll buy it. I did.
They told me that they listed it as "pending sale" because they get about 50 calls a day from other dealers trying to get their hands on it.
