Very bittersweet but I traded the GX in yesterday and went a totally different direction. I’m hoping to buy another GX in a few years once Lexus works out the kinks. This community is awesome and I’m gonna keep following. I’ll be posting a lot of parts for sale, including OT+ suspension parts.

Had enough of the vibration huh? How much you get on trade-in?

Yes, that was the main reason. And I’ve always wanted an M5. But also my GX brake squeak came back after they replaced them, the driveshaft was popping from poor factory lubrication, lumbar kept deflating, transmission clunk came back after reset, and the dealer kept saying this stuff is all normal. So I made them deal with it since they thought it was so perfect. It would have been difficult for me to sell on private market knowing my frustrations with it. I’m just too honest. Also, I generally just realized I am still madly in love with my 2010 4Runner and so I can still do plenty of offroad and camping and other such trips in that. I really really REALLY hated saying goodbye to the GX because it was so badass looking, and a DREAM Offroad. But my 15-year old 4Runner rides smoother on the road. They gave me $82k and I still have all the OEM takeoff parts, and will be selling those. I hope that somebody else who buys it will hopefully be less concerned than I was about these issues, or perhaps has ability to work through them on their own. I can’t wait to see what everybody will do with this truck over the next few years.

Nice, did you get the brand new M5 or the previous generation F90 M5? My wife is slowly taking over the GX so I'm planning to add a M5 wagon or RS6 for myself as a daily driver in the near future.

How much did you pay for your OT+ out the door and how many miles did you have? Sounds like a pretty decent deal though..

Incredible trade values for these GX. And you picked up the M5 for the right place in the depreciation curve. Well done!
Appreciate that vote of confidence...we shall see. Yeah it's crazy...a $130k car goes to under $80k after 30k miles. But buying the used one has challenges too. I did get the 10-year powertrain warranty but not the bumper to bumper warranty. The bumper to bumper coverage is almost $10k. I dunno maybe it's worth it. My hope is that the 2021 through 2023 models will be very sought after now that they have moved to the heavier (and slower) hybrid setup.

so how much did you pay for the 22 m5 comp and how many miles did it have. so you basically got the tax credit right with the trade in (i hope)

$79k. 30k miles. I don't feel like I am getting the deal of the century or anything, but I am glad to move on and have something killer fun to drive until my next move. I have not seen it yet, and so if it is in poor shape, I will have to pass on it and my dealer will have to cut me a check or find me something comparable I suppose.

Seems like a solid deal if the car is right.

Oh man so you traded your GX in before the M5 transaction? so you're not going to get the tax benefit? is it 79k + tax
looks like you got a good deal though!

Did the Lexus dealership sell you the M? I’m in the northeast. And if I got the trade in credit for my GX, that’s already (82k x 9% ) savings. This is interesting. I would actually think about a trade in as well if I could get what you got!! I only have 4k miles on mine.

The M was at a Hendrick dealer in TX, and my Lexus dealer here is also a Hendrick dealer. So, yes my Lexus dealer sold me the bimmer, but I suppose it is the greater Hendrick Group, I dunno. Also, I actually think yoiu could get that much on a trade even stock if it's an OT+. They actually tried to get me to take off all the aftermarket stuff, but I told them no deal if I had to go through all that.
