👋 Welcome to the Lexus GX 550 Forum! Please post an introduction thread!

We finally got our GX this past Monday.

In theory our first GX that was in the train, derailed and “only one” vehicle was damaged and was ours.

Happy that we got another one with the exact same options.

Wife loves it. My homework is now, what wheels and tires. So far my #1 option is Fuel Sigma 22 inch by 9.5 inches
Tires BFGoodrich KO3 275/50 Load E.

Just waiting for a “deal” on wheels and tires. View attachment 12117

Hi y'all! We have a 2025 Luxury+ in Atomic Silver. Based in Santa Barbara. Thinking about doing a PPF Xpel stealth to give it a satin look. If anybody has done this - I'm all ears on feedback re: what you like and don't like!

Hello from The Land of 10,000 lakes! In line to be a GX owner when the right match comes around. Will be separating from my much loved 2014 Double Cab LB Sport Tacoma that will greatly missed but will be a wonderful exchange for the GX. Loving all the knowledge and information in this forum.

Lucky enough to snag an allocation in early March for April pickup. Did a few modifications. I appreciate all the insights provided on this site. I really wanted rays ze40 but were very difficult to find. Ended up with 4Runner/tacoma trd pro wheels 18x8.5 20 offset with 275/70r18. Fits great no mods needed. Plus westcott 20 degree sliders and roof rack.

hello ya'll - put down a deposit in January for an OT Plus, and after declining 2 allocations of different colors, I finally got a call yesterday that my OT+ Incognito / Black Onyx will be coming in August. Can't wait for mine, and look forward to learning here what people have learned about this car.

Hey y'all - put a deposit down for a nori green lux+ about a month ago, dealer estimates they should be able to get me one by August / September.

I'm excited to have some sweet driving assistants when in traffic and I'll finally be able to tow my cars to the track. Excited to join y'all!

After a 14 month wait, my OT+ in incognito / black onyx roof arrived last week. I didn’t want a 2024 and so this worked out. A couple of things to mention… (1) port people missed the entire front painted mask when PPF-ING my vehicle. My dealership will outsource to a professional trim design company to make it right; (2) front window tinting by detail dept of local dealership was awful. Lots of bubbles and they will redo; (3) have a very small paint chip on the hood that compromised the clear coat and paint. They will repair. My advice is to carefully inspect your vehicle before taking ownership.
Anyway, love my new ride and it’s turning heads wherever I go.

I won't get my Incognito OT until late August, but ... hi!

Based on my prior vehicles, I'm pretty sure y'all will get sick of my photo rich build-thread real quick.

Expect a lot of pics like this, but featuring the GX550:

Hi. New member from Pittsburgh, PA. Picking up my 4th GX next week, a 2025 Nebula Gray Pearl Lux+. Coming from a 2022 GX Premium+. Previously owned a 2013 and 2009 GX and a 2008 4 runner, so I’ve been looking at the same side view mirrors for close to 20 years. Big adjustment on the 2025.

I also own a 2024 RC F in Caviar and a 2025 NX 350 Luxury in White Pearl.

I enjoy boating on the Western PA rivers with my wife and 2 kids.

Hello,

Greetings from TX! Recently went from an Audi Q8 to a GX550 OT Incognito. I was sick of the maintenance and upkeep on the Q8 so I narrowed my next car down to two (Landcruiser or GX550). I decided on the GX mostly for the engine and aesthetics. I hope to be driving it for many years. So far so good!

Hi All,

I took possession of my new 2025 GX Overtrail on Friday afternoon. I went with Atomic Silver with Chateau interior. So far, I am loving it. I plan to replace the roof rack with a Prinsu Pro and install ADGO storage. Looking forward to camping with my boys and accessing some new trails in north GA and western NC that I couldn't get to in my old car.

Hello,
Within 2 weeks of getting on a local waitlist, the spec that I wanted showed up. So here's my new 2025 GX OT+ incognito/black onyx. It's my first truck based SUV. I'm loving it and looking forward to the adventures ahead. So far my only complaint is the roof rack wind noise. Hope to find a solution soon.

Congrats. That’s my vehicle that I brought home 3 weeks ago but without the roof basket and rock rails, thank goodness. Dealership said they would have port deleted for me though per my request if it had been spec-ed with them. Mine has chateau interior which I didn’t think I would like but is growing on me. Wish saddle was an option.

Hello from Huntsville, AL. I put a deposit on a GX550 Luxury in Nightfall Mica with Saddle Tan interior last week. It's scheduled to arrive mid- to late-August..

Hello! Initially I had an allocation reserved on a new 2025 4Runner Limited back in April, waited to be built and shipped and then it went into QC hold, was gonna get it early June until now it wasn't released from QC. My wife also love the GX when it first released, it wasn't really our first choice since the 4runner (which we also were a fan) was enough for our needs. A week ago, I saw the only 25' GX p+ available in Atomic Silver / Tan interior -- the 4runner had the portobello interior which we liked so the Tan interior was the a must . We test drove and it blew my mind that the drive was alot better than the 4runner. It had power and the luxury feeling when you get in. It didn't had alot of installed options. So I pulled the trigger to purchase it on the spot and cancelled my 4runner allocation (refunded my $500 deposit). Paid at msrp and about $120 in fees. Loved the new GX, my first body on frame and my first new vehicle purchased. Last car I purchsed was a used 2014 mazda cx-5, that thing was a beast. 2wd but was going on fire and gravel roads. Sold it at 120k. Anyways me and wife loved it. It was indeed worth the purchase.

Greetings. After 15-months of watching and waiting I left Friday for a 650-mile drive from Pensacola to Margate, Florida to trade my Tundra for a 2025 Premium + GX. The Eminent White Pearl GX was waiting for me at JM Lexus. The process from start to finish took about 10-days. Their offer for my trade was based on the VIN# and some photos. The honesty, integrity and price from this dealership was impeccable. I drove away in shock since I've never had a positive new car purchase in many years of life. I highly recommend this dealership. I deal with one person only, (Zach.)

I still learning how to set things up using the YouTube "Deep Dive" videos. They're very helpful. Lot's of great information here and glad to find the group.

Looking for opinions on the OEM PPF kits for just the front end. Has anyone done a "do it yourself" purchase on one the available kits? Thanks for any thoughts.

I purchased the PPF option at the time of placing deposit on my OT+. It was done at the port before the vehicle made it to my dealership. Paid the MSRP price for it which I think was $450. I think it’s worth the investment. Didn’t know there was a kit you could buy and DIY. I’m an uber diy guy but not sure I would tackle it. Doesn’t seem difficult though. Congrats on the new ride.

Howdy folks.

Still waiting for my GX but I've been lurking for a while.

I spoke with the dealer today and we are hoping for an August delivery.

Cheers
