Very helpful thread
I suggest you print off that LTSB, attached in Jabber's first post in this thread, and take it with you to speak with the service manager. The dealer can't do anything for you without actually verifying the issue, themselves. Once that happens, they'll order the parts and make an appointment. I had mine repaired in early August, and the parts still took a month to arrive at the dealership. It's a one-day repair job. I dropped my GX off around noon, took a loaner car home, and then went back the next day to pick it up. No mo' squeal!

Update: Called ahead to ensure the brake kit was in stock (one left). The kit is identical to what an earlier post listed. No charge. Squeak while reversing has not returned. Thanks to this GX Forum I was able to learn this is a known issue with a known resolution covered under warranty.

Just had my brake anti-squeal repairs performed today! Lexus replaced front pads AND rotors, installed shims, etc. along with a tire rotation and oil change as part of the 12 month service. I noticed the warranty invoice was over $1300, paid by Lexus.

Tomorrow I will perform the big test, backing down my driveway (downhill) and not wake-up the neighborhood!

My 25 makes the noise when first backing out of driveway, but is silent after.
that is the classic brake squeal that is covered under the TSB. The squeal stops after brakes warm up. Suggest you take a couple videos of it and show to your Dealer to fix., unless you can drop off overnight so they can verify it when cold. Myself and many others got new pads, rotors, etc. under warranty by doing this.

My brakes don't squeal often, only after wet weather + being parked overnight. Had my 10k service completed at around 9k last week. I asked them to check the brakes due to the TSB being issued. They ordered the brakes and said they would replace them as soon as they come in. No push back at all.

Make a video of the noise if you want it replaced and the service techs cannot replicate.

I also mentioned how embarrassing it was for people to look at my Lexus when it made that noise.

That’s what worked for me

I have squeal when reversing. It's not too bad some days but other days it will squeal all the way from the garage out into the street. I'm on the waiting list for parts at my dealer. ''24 OT+
