Yeah YL (annoyingly) bold with their pricing - but remember - F&F is marketing to Lexus GX owners… a collective of customers, many of whom, have the capacity to buy whatever they like irrespective of cost.

If these products tickle the fancy of 1 of 10 owners who are willing to pay $220 for a couple of aluminum handles then it’s a cash cow.

Upcharging is also part and parcel of vehicles and accessories on this end of the spectrum.

At this point, I’m not buying any of these products not just because of these aluminum pieces clashing with the OEM look of the interior of the car… but also on principle …

just like I don’t like to reward Lexus dealers who charge $5-10k over MSRP with referral business… I see no reason to buy grossly overpriced products on a whim.

I think a good set of thin stick on plastic covers that read “FUEL” and “HOOD” would suffice. (Red and black respectively with white lettering - if there is an entrepreneur out there interested in producing it).

I’m sure someone will make a set for $10-20 sometime in the near future

I am thinking a set of Swarovski crystal doors would really make the levers pop from the outside so when I overland to Starbucks people will know I mean business both at the gas pump and when I open my hood. I think mirrored headrests would also work, but you might have to stand at a weird angle to be able to see my new levers so the crystal doors are the preferred upgrade, IMO.

It's absurd pricing, but it is an actual replacement not just a slip over for the latches, if that makes you more willing to spend your $$$...lol

He is talking about the fuel and hood release latches, which doesnt slip over anything, they are full replacement latches. The AC knobs, however, do slip over.

I had meso switch panel in my 3rd gen tacoma almost 10 years ago when they first started out.
