Hi everyone. I just found this site and have been lurking in the background doing tons of reading.
I’ll have my (the wife’s)new GX550 Luxury in the next 3 weeks and I’m super excited. I’m new to the GX, but not Lexus. I (wife) still have a ES350, and our past cars have been a IS350, GS350-F sport, and RX350. I’ve also owned 3 Toyota Tundras, a Camry, & Corolla. Needless to say, Toyota runs in my blood.
My wife and I are empty nesters now but still love to travel, drive the hill country in our current go fast cars, off road (Can-Am Maverick X3), camp, and jet-ski. I pull my ATC toy-hauler with my F250 diesel and had hoped to pull my 3 place jet-ski trailer (4500 load) with the new GX but after a lot of reading, I may just use my company truck (F150 w/coyote V8). We are keeping the ES350 as her commuter car so we don’t rack up the miles on the GX. I just hope Lexus has truly addressed the engine issues prior to my vehicles build date. I never buy 1st year models for this very reason and surprised it’s taken them so long to hopefully get it right.
Sorry for rambling on. I look forward to learning more, contributing, & going to any local get togethers.
Thanks for having me!
Kirk
