While driving home in some heavy snow today, I discovered a very cool undocumented feature in my GX.
It has a special ABS program for low grip surfaces like snow and sand where it simply won't engage the ABS at low speeds, since the fastest way to stop is to build a pile of snow / sand in front of the tire. No matter how gently or aggressively I hit the brakes, it simply would lock all four tires and never let up.
This wasn't how it behaved at the beginning of the drive, so I'm guessing the car has some way to tell that it's in a low grip, loose surface situation. Very cool function for some very specialized driving!
