Snow Country
Hello all,
Been following this forum since last summer. At that time I jumped onto 6 dealer wait lists (one with a $500 refundable deposit). One of them finally came through about 3 weeks ago!
No luck having the dealer delete the roof rack (now removed and for sale) or the rock rails. All the other ‘options’ didn’t really bother me.
I replaced our ‘22 TRD Sport Sequoia with the GX. I originally intended to upgrade to the newer Sequoia…but Toyota fouled that plan up. The hybrid battery bump and the mandatory, non-removable 3rd row seating (unlike my earlier ‘92 LC) is ill-suited for packing cargo and gear.
I went for the GX for a long list of reasons.
I now have about 700 miles. I’ve ‘maybe’ experienced the vibration issue; I have the minor hood flutter issue - which I’ll fix later; I have a bit of the brake squeal while reversing out of the garage; and the wind noise at higher speeds which I will experiment with.
Really like the GX a lot. Everything I expected.
Happy New Year’s to all!

How do you like the color up close? I've been leaning toward Atomic Silver, but finally saw a clean Incognito in person and it looked pretty darn nice!

I kinda wonder how all of the various non-metalic gray colors will age from a style perspective...

I like it a lot better than I thought. It was exceedingly difficult to tell with internet pics just what it looks like…it’s actually a bit darker than I thought; I was worried it might have a “bleached battleship” look, or might look like a bunch of other light grey colors from numerous manufacturers.
I had previously seen the Incognito, Caviar, Earth and Atomic Silver. I had decided on only the white, silver and incognito. The Sequoia I sold was the windchill pearlescent..and was gorgeous clean, but very bad in winter.
Keep in mind the other 2 colors are a metallic style. The Incognito isn’t. Not sure of the durability of one style vs. other…
..So I decided to get a full front-end, hood, A-pillars and leading edge of roof PPF done. The entire remaining car was done with a ceramic coating (supposedly with lifetime guarantee 🤷🏼‍♂️)
I have noticed this color does hide the winter road wash well though.
Style-wise.. yes, a lot of people wondering about that. But again, I’m noticing most flavors of this color approach are lighter, and/or have some strange tints to them. This Lexus incognito doesn’t IMO.

I got the same truck and color. I wasn't too sure about the color when i got it but I have really got to like it now. It's great for off-roading because it doesn't show dirt and dust very much. Congratulations and welcome. Here's a few pics clean and dusty.

how do you plan to fix the hood flutter? Lexus claims to have fixed it quite a while ago, starting with VIN JTJTBCDX#R5020717. My car is after than VIN, and honestly I would have never noticed any hood flutter if it wasn’t for this forum causing me to really look for it.

Just picked up my 550 in incognito and it looks so much better in person than on the dealer website. The black rims, emblems, and accents go really well with incognito.
@S SUBERI what roof rack did you go with? Looks so good! Was it easy to install ?

I went with the Westcott roof rack. Thank you for the compliment. I like it because it's quiet and very low profile. I didn't install it myself, I took the GX in for a lift, wheels, tires and roof rack.
