No Rear Fog (1 Viewer)

Anybody else disappointed the GX550 OT doesn’t come with a rear fog light? Feel like one of the red reflectors should have been a rear fog..

That would be cool. One could be a red fog light and the other a super bright reverse light / utility light.

I have been working on this same thing for some time now. There is a factory rear fog light but not for the US market. I had this option on my Volvo and miss it. I am getting details on the pats and need to work out how to activate it(them). There is a different light control stalk with that option integrated. The light bracket for the US spec appears to have the cutout for the bulb/lamp. The reflector is just missing the lens in the corners (see picture). This will be one of the first modifications I intend to do.

Thats exactly what I want. I figured the EDM trucks would have it. Keep me posted.

off the subject by why could'nt the us market get a nice looking hitch cover like Europe? That thing just pops out there and then try putting in the pin. ?????

The Fog lights maybe should be yellow/amber to cut the fog/increase rear visibility to others??

It's because the EU and JDM Gx's don't have hitch receivers at all.

Wish it was an option, but apparently, everyone in the US tows something. lol

Oh there's a hitch under their cover. It's like the one on the Armada or Chev Tahoe. No reason they couldn't of put it on the US models.

I'm skeptical. If there's actually a trailer hitch receiver under the trim piece in that picture, how do you access it for every day use? Show better pics please. IMHO there's no receiver on that vehicle.

if it is hiding somewhere up there, it's probably not rated for towing anything up to the 9000 lb limit

Doubt the USDM are wired for light. Also no rear fog option on the stalk. Im sure its doable but idk

Looks like our LC brothers have some success retrofitting rear fog lights
