Can’t fund the CA fantasy on $200$200 sales tax on a brand new OT+ sounds good to me
I have an '25 OT+ which I purchased for approx. base price of $85K + Tax + Fees = $91K OTD. My down-payment was ~50%
Only have ~3,500 miles.
Working with a dealer to trade-in for the exact same vehicle but a '26 model (base price + fees = $87K).
Dealer is offering ~$85K for a trade-in.
Is it a worth-while offer? Need some guidance since I've never traded a car before. Thank you!
My dealer has an OT+ coming in - DM if you are interested and I can share you his contact info - DFW marketSounds like a good deal to me. You'll get the sales tax credit on the trade in, so the total out the door price can't be much. What dealer are you working with? I haven't been able to find a GX available at any dealerships in Texas. Most say there is still a 3-4 month wait.
In my market they are all going for msrp. Net cost will be about 7500$ after all said in done. For about 18 months of ownership.I’m getting offered 80k for my fully loaded 2024 lux+ with 10k miles. Would training for a 2026. Is this worth it? Msrp 86k for new one. Exact same options.
If you’d only be taxed on the $6k difference I’d do it. 2 years newer with some of kinks ironed out, no brainer for me.I’m getting offered 80k for my fully loaded 2024 lux+ with 10k miles. Would training for a 2026. Is this worth it? Msrp 86k for new one. Exact same options.
With taxes registeration and all fees it’s about 7500$ for about 18 months of ownership. If you’d only be taxed on the $6k difference I’d do it. 2 years newer with some of kinks ironed out, no brainer for me.
I would 100% do it. Too bad I life in CA where trade in value doesn’t matter. We still pay taxes on the full price of the new car. Keep us updated on what you do. Good luck. With taxes registeration and all fees it’s about 7500$ for about 18 months of ownership.
That’s the only reason I’m entertaining it because we don’t have to pay taxes on trade-in value. That said I will lose a couple of small things like my tint and the emblems front and rear.I would 100% do it. Too bad I life in CA where trade in value doesn’t matter. Haha…would they tell you if they used the fake ceramic stuff? Pretty sure their “guy” is just someone who wipes the ceramic coating onto the car. You can do it yourself. It’s pretty simple if you have the time. I would self insure on the dent removal. This is the package. It’s enticing. But 1200, so $600 per year for this “protection”. The sales guy said they use the real ceramic stuff and do it inhosuenwith their “guy”

Actually this is the same guy who sold me my first gx so I trust him. Atleast enough to not try to oversell me on “accessories”. I’m probably getting out of the gx in another couple years so trying to see if it makes sense to spend $1200 bucks on a coating. Especially if it only lasts a year.Haha…would they tell you if they used the fake ceramic stuff? Pretty sure their “guy” is just someone who wipes the ceramic coating onto the car. Stinks that there are literally zero differences between the 2024 and 2026 lux+. Atleast on the OTs thy added some lift and the compressor.
