Transmission Clunk TSB L-SB-0042-25 (1 Viewer)

I took ours back for the 10k service and the clucking was back. The tech looked at it and told us it was normal. I told them it is doing the same thing it was doing before the TSB was implemented and they still did nothing but notate that we were having an issue.

Sorry, this is frustrating.

Any long-term updates from those who performed the TSB by now? Thank you!
Mine is still good! I did notice it getting a little worse with increase break squeal. Brought it in for the new brakes, and now it feels perfect. Get both the tsb for transmission and brakes. Feels like a new car!

I had the hardware flash done when I took mine in for its first service in October.

Mine still has the issue but it seems to be when the car is still getting warm. After driving for 5-10 minutes it does t seem to happen. I usually let the car warm up for 5 minutes or so if it’s under 40 degrees and a minutes or two when it’s warmer. Regardless it’s still happening until the car is is driven for that 5-10 minutes.

Does anyone know how much it costs to grease the driveshaft? I have my 1 year service coming up and I might have them try this as well.

I'd be surprised if any shop charged you more than 1 hour of shop time to grease the driveshaft. Depending on where you live, that's probably $120-250, but it could be less if you have a great relationship or just find a really fantastic shop.

Is there a way to check the L-SB number from the infotainment?

I asked the same question before and I was told we can't unfortunately. I had the new update installed, the jerking went away for a couple of hundred miles or so, and it came back but less severely.

After a few months and almost 5k miles of having a smooth transmission, now it seem to get worse again, not as bad as before the dealer fix but it is noticeable. We're at approximately 23k miles on ours.
