TRD Front Recovery Points (15 Viewers)

I installed these yesterday and have a few thoughts. I think they are less functional than the originals since they only have one tight point to hook to instead of a bar and a loop like the originals. Second, you can’t see them unless you are under the front of the car. Oh well, at least the squirrels know that I mean business now.

These appear to use the same two factory bolts in the same factory location, correct?

Meaning these probably don't have meaningfully higher load ratings compared to the factory loops?
 
That’s correct. The only thing that I’ll give them is that they are really dense forged steel and the stock ones are not even close to being that strong.

The originals have tie downs for shipping the car and a loop. I've heard that you cannot use the tie downs for recovery. I have the same TRD recovery ones you bought - with soft shackles they are perfect
