24 vs 25 OT OEM 1” Lift Details via reddit (2 Viewers)

Hello, I'm looking for a set of 24OT springs to lower the rear of my 25 premium. If the other model of the 24's are lower/softer please advise as I would be interested in those if thats the case. I do think it needs it and I don't take it off-road. The rear looks too high to me. The light gray on the front side is a reflection.View attachment 19152
Only the 25OT got a lift vs 24. Your premium plus is the same height as the 24 premium plus models. Putting springs from a 24 won’t lower your car unless you have the 25OT springs on it for some reason. The gap is more likely due to your aftermarket wheel well trim and wheels/tires.

What fenders are those? Painted OT?
I bought the Vossen HF6-4 22x9.5 +30- DA wheel that were supposed to be flush as I'm not a of the poke wheels. With the Michelin CrossClimate2 285/45R22 the tires stuck out 3/4" +. No rubs on the wheel wells though and the cross tracks are great on dry, in the rain and the snow. I fount the NYtop fender flair and they did the trick for me. They are carbon fiber and pricy but worth it. Fit is nothing short of perfect. Had a minor issue and customer service was outstanding. I they made more parts that I would want, I would have them. Pic attached for the poke view.

Picked up the ‘25 springs from Lexus of Akron (cheapest price I found) and should arrive this week. What pricing are folks finding for Lexus to do the swap? My local dealer wanted close to $2k to install - which is insane. Think their proximity to the local RR/Bentley dealership has them seeing $$$ signs.

dealer wanted $1.4k+tax for the springs and another $1.4k+tax for the install.
got the springs for $900 and install for $700 including alignment and camera calibration at an independent shop specializing in lifted yotas.

Nice! How much did you pay if you don’t mind me asking?

Did anyone who changed their 2024 springs to the 2025 springs also have their lexus dealer tell them they needed new front shocks. Seem to be getting that line from a local dealer saying the 2024 shocks will be too stiff given the inch clearance.

If someone has a 2025 Overtrail - can you validate the mark number on your front struts. See picture below - want to verify they are the same part mark number - 48510-60610

I changed my '24 front springs only to '25 to level it. Got it done at Lexus and they didn't give any push back. The shocks are the same. Part #s don't change, only spring #s.

Were you able to get them installed yet?
Quick update here. Dealer canceled my order after I posted this and I lost interest for a while. Recently picked up new takeoff coils from a 2025 overtrail and did instal them on my 2024 lc250. Long story short, front raised 2”, I was hoping for 1.5”, oh well. Hopefully this comes down slightly over the next year as the coils get broken in. The extra 1” is due to engine weight difference (4cyl vs 6cyl). I didn’t use the rear coil as the GX spring felt much softer when I sat on it and was the same height extended as the LC coil. LC probabbly uses stiffer coils because of the battery pack. I ended up putting a Westcott 3/4 spacer in the rear paired to my stock coil. I had the kit kicking around in the garage. The end result is really no change in driving manners and an absolutely level rig. Total time for the swap including compressing the struts was 4.5hrs and if I did it again it would probably be 3. I didn’t take any before pics cause someone was parked next to me but here’s an after and the jack/jack stand setup. By the way, Vevors Strut compressor, the single sided one, is awesome!

Had the '25 springs installed today -adds about 1.25" on the front and 1.5" on the back; those distances are from the wheel arch trim to the same spot on the tires before and after (ball park distances with a tape measure). Did not do much driving yet - but does not feel much different. Spring install with alignment and camera/light leveling was $1800 - so not too crazy. Some dealers wanted north of $2500 to do the work. Still over priced at $1800 - but better to have Lexus do this than an aftermarket shop.

Dealer did tell me they have seen a couple OT+ coming in from off road shops with damage to the EKDSS system - that is an expensive mistake at well north of $5K to repair that.

Dealer had two CPO's on the floor with the 275 wheels that look just a little too big - maybe go with those or 270's at tire time.

I wonder just how exactly the EKDSS was damaged

Hi @YellowLab -

Mind sharing which dealer? Or maybe via PM? I am also SoCal and definitely looking to do the same.

Thank you! Matt
Lexus of Thousand Oaks. I called a few dealers - Longo for the install without an alignment was $2590 for compare - another dealer was pushing close to $3k

For what it’s worth - the stance looks much better now too!
