If you are asking if tint and WPF are compatible- the answer is yes. WPF on exterior - tint on interior of glass.

Oh yeah, sorry I wasn't clear. What I was asking is what the consensus is, when it comes to these vulnerable windshields. Do people keep re-tintg and spending $? I plan to do so but just wanted to see what others usually do.

Who was the local installer ? Could you please share?

Ideal Glass out of Norwood MA. They were recommended to us by our dealer. Ignore the negative reviews online, the owner / installer does the work himself and is a car and motorbike enthusiast .. I think he speeds on his work van .. I think some of the negative reviews are attributed to his speeding lol
