GX550 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread (4 Viewers)

One note on the spare: I’m running a 275/70R18 KO3 on the OEM rim. It fits the spare space fine, but it’s large enough that the trailer hitch shank can’t slide in all the way anymore. Currently, I’m forced to use the second hitch pin hole, which noticeably affects the suspension.. I plan to cut the shank down soon so I can go back to using the first hole and have my GX sit level again with the trailer on.

Have a 2025 OT.

Installed Toyo AT3's. 285/75/R17
Rims are SCS Ray 10's. 17x8.5 et +20

No rubbing or cutting required. I ALSO DID THE SPARE. This was the max spare that would fit. We had to deflate the tire down to about 25psi.
Any lift in this setup?

Getting these mounted on Friday.

Titan AK-2. 18x8.5 +35

Really digging the color in person. Should match well with the OT black trim pieces.

I posted this on another thread, but it's worth leaving here as well.

I mounted up my wife's new wheels over the weekend on her Lux+. Went a different route vs. what I see for the most part on the forum. These are BC Forged GWA05's, 20x8.5, ET40, in Shadow Copper, with Cooper Discoverer R+T in 275/60/20 SL load tires. I dropped 11.4lbs at each corner vs. the stock 22" set up, have zero rubbing on stock suspension, and improved the ride, looks, and the car's reactions to inputs (steering, braking, and acceleration). Very happy with the results. I just need to install black lug nuts and I'm all set.

I want to thank Ray at Battle Born Offroad, who was super helpful in figuring out wheel and tire specs, and very generous in providing me his time. Although I ended up ordering my wheels through another vendor ultimately, Ray was really great.

Just got back from discount tire. Very happy with the overall look. The poke is just slightly beyond the fender. Currently waiting for the center caps to arrive and unfortunately, the lug nuts that I had from another set of wheels weren’t compatible with this set so I ended up having to buy the only thing that discount tire had in stock, which happened to be those super long 2 inch lug nuts. Will be swapping those out soon as well.

The tires are Toyo AT3 275/70/18. Stock suspension.

looks great. I got the same Toyo ATIII EV 275/70/18 tires on stock 2025 OT suspension. The ride noticeably better than the OEM Toyos.

So no lift, no rub? Any wheel spacers? This is a very similar set up I’m considering but don’t want to add a lift. It would be awesome if this fits with the stock ‘25 OT suspension.

Looks good. 2024 or 2025?

Finally pressed go on some wheels, Method 703's 17x8.5 et35 (gloss titanium finish) wrapped in Maxxis Razr MT772's , 305/70R17.. Running westcott designs lift . The tyres fit nice with no rubbing, however I plan on removing the inner wheel well bracketry and swapping the tyres out for 35x12.5's in the near future

Hey Guys - I’m looking for advice on wheel fitment for my 2025 GX OT+ (stock suspension, no lift planned).
I’m set on ordering Volk Racing ZE40X, but I’m torn between:
  • 18x8.5 +20
  • 18x9 +35
My goal is a flush look without excessive poke, and most importantly I want to avoid any rubbing (UCA, Wheel wells, fender liner etc.). I plan to run 275/70R18 AT tires, and if it’s realistically possible without rubbing, I’d consider 285/70R18.
For those who have tried similar setups on a stock 2025 OT+, which wheel size/offset would you recommend and why? Any real-world rubbing/clearance feedback would be greatly appreciated.

So took me some time to focus on this, because my new beast came with dealer-added equipment, but wasn’t able to get full details on all equipment, but, I think I got it all figured it out now:
  • Wheels: 17x9 Fuel Off-Road Rincon Beadlock Blackout (-38 mm offset)
  • Tires: Falken WildPeak R/T 01 LT285/75R17
  • Suspension: Westcott Designs 2” lift (baseline geometry)

(post formatting wouldn’t let me clean links so just listing them here)
Needless to say, the setup looks delicious and I constantly get compliments and questions.
