The +20 offset will stick out close to 10mm more than the + 35.Hey Guys - I’m looking for advice on wheel fitment for my 2025 GX OT+ (stock suspension, no lift planned).
I’m set on ordering Volk Racing ZE40X, but I’m torn between:
My goal is a flush look without excessive poke, and most importantly I want to avoid any rubbing (UCA, Wheel wells, fender liner etc.). I plan to run 275/70R18 AT tires, and if it’s realistically possible without rubbing, I’d consider 285/70R18.
- 18x8.5 +20
- 18x9 +35
For those who have tried similar setups on a stock 2025 OT+, which wheel size/offset would you recommend and why? Any real-world rubbing/clearance feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I previously had a 285/70/17 on a 17x8.5 +18. See attached.
My current set up, see few posts above, is pretty much flush but my wheels are half an inch narrower than what you’re looking at with the 18x9.
Depending on what you want to use your vehicle for, the 285/70/18s biggest downside will be the lack of light weight tire Options (no SL rated tires) So you will take a hit in ride comfort and mpg if that matters. A lot of people look at the Falken Wildpeak C rated , which weighs something like 68lbs per tire compared to 275/70/18 options that can be had around 45-50lbs in an SL. Disregard if you’re actually doing some off-roading.
The other thing is that you may have difficulty stuffing a spare back there in a 285 tire if that matters.
