Howdy! I am currently on the waitlist for an Overtrail and curious to know how the rear AC performance is? Without ceiling vents in a large vehicle, I can imagine it would be harder to cool down/heat up the rear. I can already hear my family and friends complaining in the Texas heat lol.

I'm in HTX - first thing I do is get higher end tint on the cars with highest TSER possible, including the front and rear windshield and the roof glass. It makes a world of a difference.

I don't think it's that bad, luckily we have had lots of rain this year. Not a lot of >100F days. The vehicle was very tolerable.

I imagine it'd be intolerable without the tint.

It isn't terrible but it is my biggest complaint. We have a kid in a car seat so have to turn off the S flow or whatever it is that determines if someone is sitting there because it doesn't pick her up in the car seat. Then run on Max AC for a few minutes. Once cooled down, it works well enough. We have ceramic tinting on our upgrade list. In the few 100 degree plus days we have had with the car, the AC in the front has met our needs.

I'm in the greater Phoenix area of Arizona and it is just plain hot. The lack of overhead AC vents in the rear was the one hurdle I had to get over in buying my Overtrail. I have 2 boys 6 & 10 and they deserve to be comfortable too. The 2 little vents on the back of the center console are better than nothing and if you aim the two center dashboard vents up and straight back in between the front seats, it's not too bad back there. Having AC on full blast for the first 15 or so minutes is just a fact of life out here. Tinted windows definitely help too. Oh, and you also have to make sure that the 2 little center console vents are turned on - my kids sometimes put there feet on the back of the center console and inadvertently roll the switch to the off position and they they are suffering back there.

A/C is adequate at best. Front and rear. I've been back in my GM truck for the last few days and it is night and day difference. Even the electric car with a whole glass roof does better. I think it is a combo of the system cooling power and the vents. Heck, even the Hyundai cools better.

You have to make sure the s-flow junk is turned off, and not operate it in Eco mode. The other day it was 118 degrees out here and the truck cooled just fine.

I’m in the same boat -kid in rear facing car seat. In addition to tint + shade screens - I ended up mounting a forward facing fan to the rear passenger headrest that turns on when the car starts. Remote start + fan has really helped the little dude not sweat miserably in the Texas heat.
