That tire is pretty high but i can recall when i did a test drive on the Lx it felt extremly jumpy and mega jittery.I always hold judgement until I see the cargo. Some ride HEAVY.
Pretty nicee, so there is a version of the Toyo OC "normal".I went with Toyo OC AT3's in 265/70R18 SL (not the OEM/GA version) and they've been great. Good grip on and offroad dry & wet, look aggressive enough, pretty quiet up to 120kph/70ish mph.
Also fuel economy is better than expected. The best tank so far was 9.7L/100 or 24MPG on highway/country roads calculated by hand. I also changed out my wheels to a lightweight forged setup so saved about 14 pounds a corner vs the stock wheel/tire setup.

Great help, thanks folks! One last question, should I go with SL rating instead of E? I use my OT as my daily driver so lots of pavement but it spends much time on some fairly rugged Vermont gravel and dirt roads (but no heavy duty rock crawling).You bet!
Like @nonamex said, I wouldn't drive on it long-term but if you're only using it for emergencies, I wouldn't sweat it.
If you did do all 5, I'd recommend then using a 5-tire rotation so you actually get utility out of it!
The KO3s have been fantastic. They performed admirably in what was admittedly a mild inland Pacific Northwest winter (less snow than normal), with wet weather performance being very solid. Road noise continues to be relatively low given the fact that they are E load tires, and durability is fantastic with approximately 1/32 of wear in 15,000 miles. I’m continuing to run them between 40psi - 45psi at the recommendation of a BFG tire technician who indicated that it is advisable to run the E load tires at a higher cold pressure than what is indicated on the door jamb. I would highly recommend these tires to anyone looking for a heavy duty all terrain tire and extreme durability.Just curious if after many months the KO3's remain in OEM size/spec, a great choice for you? That’s what I initially thought as well, but I’m running the tires between 40psi - 45psi at the recommendation of a tire technician at BFG that indicated E load tires should be run at higher pressures than indicated in the door jamb. The ride isn’t too bad even on broken and uneven tarmac, and the performance and wear has been fantastic.45 PSI cold …. That’s wild

The door sticker only applies to GVWR and OEM tires listed. It has no bearing on correct tire pressure when changing size or type of tires. Correct PSI is based on vehicle weight and tire size. I'd suggest consulting an actual table from a tire manufacturer when in doubt. While there is nothing wrong with running higher pressures in tires designed for higher pressures, if your weight doesn't require it you just end up with a harsher ride than needed and sometimes uneven wear. In general, as tire size goes up (with increased air volume), the required PSI goes down to support the same weight.

I installed the Toyo ATIII EV version in 275/70R18 about 4k miles ago and they're great. When I recently went in for a Free Maintenance service, which of course includes the tire rotation, I decided to use a metallic silver Sharpie to number mark each valve stem cap so I could verify they rotated and see what pattern. I had to ask for the 5-tire rotation and they admitted they would not have done that. Funny is that they rotated the driver side tires as per Manual (swap front to rear) but on the passenger side they put the spare to front passenger, instead of rear passenger per the Manual, and put the passenger rear into the spare space. Doubt it matters, but would think they'd follow the Manual. They also inflated all my tires to 40 psi cold, when I had them set at 36 psi. No idea why they did that. That's great to hear. This is a good reminder that ride quality is somewhat objective. That looks great and nice job fitting the spare up in there!I recently upgraded to 5 BFG KO3'S on stock GX OT wheels. Have a 2026 suspension now as well. No rubbing at any flex or wheel turn. I was able to get the full 34" spare to fit by airing it down and using a jack to push it up into the two brackets before cranking up the tire lift. After up, I airing it to 25psi. May leave it lower since I have the compressor on board. I then reset the air pressure in the system settings to get the low pressure light to go out. Running at 36 PSI and 40 with load. No trailer just gear and full RTT and kit. Aired down to 25 psi on rocky trails to smooth out ride nice. Tire keying at 25 is very good for E range tire. Road noise is slightly more but still less than the side mirrors and rack. I did have to road force tires and return a couple to get balance right. Consistency of tires may be questionable. Vibration was noticable until I got it sorted.
i just got the 34" E rated Toyos and they also had issues with balancing. Needed road force balance to get the car to stop vibrating at 70+ mph and got one tire replaced under warranty because the road force machine said it's excessively unbalanced.That looks great and nice job fitting the spare up in there!
The high runout/difficulty balancing has been a pain point for BFG since 2000; somehow 3 revisions and almost 3 decades have passed and BFG's are still universally troublesome to balance.
