why regret it? Aren't you concern that the light might eventually need to be replaced?

Can you estimate how much lower the deployed step is that the factory running board? It is hard to tell from the video.

I ordered the led steps for my wife so she can see easier getting in her truck. I hope they last a long while. I will take some pictures before and after so we can compare the step height difference. I hope it improves because the factory running boards are a terrible height for a step and wouldn’t work for us. We keep tripping over our feet getting in and out of the damn car.

Are you able to post a photo at running board height? From other photos it seems that the running board sits pretty low along the sides when in the folded position.

If anyone needs help when installing
I am more than happy to help
Just ask

ECU does Not have to be in the middle of the console, I put it on passenger side, next to the fuses. Wires will reach perfectly fine, you have maybe 24” more of wire

By the way, you wont be able to reuse the fuse cover anymore, the double fuse wont let it close.

I thought someone asked

With the door open, the bottom of the door to the step (deployed) is 7” exactly

7" from the bottom of the new beauty board or the cars doorsill? Photos would be great of them up and down from a lower ground view
On my '25 OT+ the fixed factory running board to the bottom of the doorsill (door open) is about 6". So it looks like this power running board lowers the step by an inch, assuming we are comparing apples to apples.
