The 2026 Lexus LX lineup was just announced, which I believe leaves the GX as the last 2026 model still waiting for its debut.

Lexus is very strict on making changes on existing models, year over year, unless for new redesign. The GX and LX are purposely low production vehicles to force value retention and exclusivity. 2026MY will probably have only minor updates if anything, for example adding features from higher trims down to the lower trims. Even if the GX550h comes out, the current GX550 will be unaffected for a few more years imho ie 2030 refresh

I’m hoping rear seat vents are available on the OT models for 2026. No reason why it should be excluded when the luxury model has it.

I got this bit of intel about four weeks ago (weekend of 06Sep2025). A sales guy walked me into the office of another sales guy who does the ordering, this wast at a dealership with three store fronts. I wrote it down:

• If you were to put a deposit down today, in all likelihood you'd be getting a 2026 MY if you want a Lux or Lux+. Same for OT and OT+. Delivery would be in Dec or later.
• For Prem/Prem+ the wait queue has been getting shorter, and you you'd likely get a 2025 MY if you were to order now.
• They (dealership) would not know until closer to Dec the actual prices, but plan on a small increase. They also will not know the actual MY differences in the base specs and options until closer to delivery date.

Important to note, this was at a dealer that sells at MSRP with no market adjustments in pricing and not loaded up with unneeded PIOs (FWICT), e.g., not a high volume dealership. IMO this distinction will be a factor when the first of the new MY vehicles become available to the high volume dealers. As in "You want it now? Ok on top of MSRP we charge a $10k market adjustment, plus there's a mandatory $6k ceramic coating and the extra $5k PIOs. How would you like to pay for that?"

If they announce rear seat AC vents and digital RVM - I'll likely wait for the 2026 models. But I doubt owing to tariffs they will add more features without increasing the prices..

2026 GX announced. Looks like no change. $750 increase across the line.

As I'm still waiting for my 2025 to come to my dealer to see if I want it or wait til another comes in, I wondering if there's a benefit to wait for the 26 models. Any thoughts?? Any news if the 26 model have any updates?

I live near Evergreen in Colorado. David at Evergreen Auto Brokers. It was shipped from California. Easiest transaction I’ve ever been through on a vehicle. I don’t have my paper work in front of me but as I recall it was a couple thousand more.

May I ask what model and specs you got? I’m on a couple waitlists as of early Nov for an incognito OT but I think a lot of others are going for the same thing. Plus I’m asking not to accept a large markup. A silver one popped up almost immediately for me but I passed in favor of incognito and I don’t mind waiting it out.
