FOG and Turning LED upgrades- (1 Viewer)

I just installed the HYUGA fogs and turning lights on my '25 OT. It was easier than changing bulbs on some of my other vehicles, took about 15 minutes. Other posts cover the process and show how these are much brighter than OEM. But I wanted to share something had not seen before on this Forum, as when I ordered them I saw they have an option for dual lights, white and yellow. I bought the dual white/yellow for the fogs, and the white for the cornering lights. When installed the default setting for the dual lights is white on. To change to yellow you can simply flash your high beams, or toggle the headlights on and off. It's easier when driving to just flash your high beams to change fogs to yellow or back to white. We'll see how long they last, but at about $65 not a big deal to me if I change again. I also left the lower air dam valences off, truck looks better without them and I'd prob damage them anyways. Cheers.

Oh man this would be wild with the Auto-High beams on lol

yeah funny, I just checked on this. When the fog lights are on, in either color, and when the high beams come on and stay on for more than 3 seconds and then go off, the fogs resume to the default white bulb with normal headlights switched back on. Only if the high beams are rapidly activated and go on and off in 3 seconds or less is when the colors change. They designed this vehicle so the fogs don't work with high beams. When I need the yellow fogs to stay on I would not have the auto High beams on anyways.

has anyone else seen this product (saw on Ebay) for adding lights to the blank spot under the headlights. This seems cheap, but would like to see a builder create a clear lense with a proper aux light plug in, like a Baja S2 or similar so we could connect to an AUX switch pigtail.

I saw this, but I’m worried that it may look cheap and make the car look cheap but definitely a nice idea. I believe that the tundra and also the four runners have a bracket mount for the Baja design ones..

10 month update: these lights didn't even last a year and I put everything back to stock because the lights started flickering.

About 2 months ago, one of the white LEDs I put in the cornering lights started flickering and I was able to get a replacement free of charge. As soon as that replacement came in, the opposite cornering light started flickering. I assumed these lights weren't happy with being dimmed so I put the OEM lights back in.

2 weeks ago, one of the yellow LEDs I put into the fog light started flickering. Decided to just put everything back to stock because I didn't want to have to keep replacing these lights all the time.

Hopefully some higher quality options come out soon. I really liked having the increased brightness and yellow fog lights for extra visibility. Long term reviews for the ones out right now seem to suggest these lights not lasting more than a year.

Bummer. Guess I’ll run mine until they take a shit and go back to stock as well :/

I’ve been putting off buying as the reviews on Amazon basically say expect a year at most. Hoping for a better quality option, but it seems to be an odd bulb with few applications.

yikes....I'm at about 10 months as well with the yellow fogs but haven't experienced any issues yet. Even if they go out, I'd probably replace them with another yellow set.

Did you go with the HYUGA brand or another one?

Have both IPF and Hyuga, IPF currently in as fogs which I hardly use. Maybe I’ll swap one cornering lamp for IPF to see how they last.

I will say, IPF build quality is nicer compared to Hyuga, not that anyone will see it. Housing has a nice feel to it and the seal appears to be of better quality. It does come with its own pigtail and the fan is located on the back of the fog vs Hyuga that is located on the bottom. Some pics tho not very good ones.IMG_5379.jpegIMG_5381.jpegIMG_5382.jpegIMG_5383.jpegIMG_5378.jpeg

where did you buy the IPF bulbs, from their website or a distributor. All I see is the RHD Japanese website. I currently run HYUGAs on fogs & corners and they're great, but wouldn't mind having an extra pair of IPF's in case the HYUGAs crap out. The OEMs are way too dim.

Yup, RHD Japan. Bought them in June, think paid around 100 shipped...def cost more than Hyuga.
