Better pics after a wash/out in the sun
interesting that these Toyo OC AT3 EV tires in SL rating at 275 70R18 size only weigh 43 pounds, the same weight as the normal (retail version) of the AT3 in the smaller 265 70R18 SL tire. Any noticeable mpg loss or harder ride? Seems like a good option to size up while keeping tire weight down. I've not seen much discussion/in depth reviews of using EV tires on gassers.

How's the ride quality? Did you gain any height vs the stock. I have the premium plus with stock 20s. I want to swap them but cannot go bigger due to fitment into the garage I do want to go wider without running or modifications

No MPG loss for me that I noticed. I averaged 17.6 MPG in my first 3k miles and after adding several hundred miles since install, I'm still at that number.

I'm coming from the stock 20" Geolandar's that I think were a 55 profile tire, so going up to 70 profile has made the ride significantly better. I expected the truck to handle more "floaty" after installing this set up, but it corners very well, dare I say might have less body roll? Maybe due to the added width and offset vs stock.

There arent that many SL tire options in this category and size; going with this setup seems to be the best compromise between AT tire looks, winter performance, and highway/everyday ride quality!

I also noted the weight of the tires. This setup, a lightweight forged wheel that I think comes in around 20 ish lbs, plus these tires at 43 lbs, should be a good deal lighter than the all stock setup. I'm not sure how much the stock 20" wheels weighed but when moving them into storage, I remarked on how heavy they felt in comparison to the Bradleys. I know the stock OT setup is over 75lbs per corner, so if youre changing to this in an OT, youre saving 10lbs per corner and running a larger tire.

I wasn't able to find any weight specs for the wheels I've got, but in this video they weigh multiple JDM wheels, cast and forged, and the 17" version of the wheel in question comes in at 19.3LBS! Timestamp @ 13:42.

I’ve had them on my GX the last 3 months and there is just a slight increase in noise due to the compound being a little more robust. Hence why they last more than 10k unlike the the stockers.

Highly recommend them.

Although I’ve posted this info in a few other places, I thought I should add to the community knowledge for this Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread…

2024 OT, MT64 lift kit (about 2.5” added rear, 2.0” front as currently dialed in).

18x8, +25 offset. Toyo AT3 285/70R18 E load, 3PMSF. Spec's state 33.7”, 57 lb. No rubbing, no trimming.
My spare, which fits perfectly tight, is a Cooper Discoverer 275/70R18 E with a 3PMSF rating, mounted on one of the OE OT wheels 18x7.5, and is spec’d at 33.6 - so height-wise it matches if I ever need it.

I gained a little bit of poke at the thickest part of the tire wall, which I really like.
More importantly, I gained about .75 to 1” track width at each side - which has contributed to extra towing stability.

Did you end up swapping out your 22"'s? I'm considering doing the same for a smoother ride quality and curious to see if it's worth it going to 18" or 20"? Lux + with the 22's is a bit to spicy for my every day driving.
The 20s on the premium plus rides smooth, I just don't care for the rims. Kinda ugly.

GX2.0 (traded my '24 for a '25 - another story) finally got new shoes this weekend...

Peak Performance 1.25" spacer in the front to level her out.
18" Icon Recon Pros w/ 40mm offset.
Falken Wildpeak AT4w 35x11.5r18, Load C (34.9" dia. x 11.9" wide @ 62.6lb).

"Crash Boxes" unbolted and removed from behind the front tires.
Minor rubbing in the front which required pulling the fender liners forward about 1/2" (drilled new holes and remounted) and a VERY small trim on the corner of the bumper to line up w/ the new position of the liners - easy peasy and looks OEM but will likely replace the front bumper anyway over the winter. Full flex test w/ a forklift and no rubbing or clearance issues inside the wells whatsoever.

Looks amazing. Rides great. Very little poke (basically flush).

Discount did the install and alignment, which took quite a bit longer than normal due to the pins.

Love the wheels (satin black looks so much better than the matte black Methods I had on my '24) and the bead lock 'innovation' is slick. A lot of hate on Falken tires out there, but this particular size is a Load C w/ decent weight specs, and boy are they smooth - I generally run Toyo AT3s, but this is my second set of Falkens and I'm thrilled with them so far, just as I was with the first set.
