I bought my prepaid maintenance plan at the time of purchase. The math was easy - pay $$$ up front and save $$$$ in the long run.
Gill, before you think about holding off on any maintenance (especially in dusty Az), you might want to take a look at this re turbo maintenance:
For whatever it is worth, the dealership where I purchased my GX informed me that Jerry's prices were within $200 of their own cost, depending on the mileage and years. In other words, if they sold a plan at that price, they would at most make a couple of hundred dollars. This was the general manager who came in when I shared the pricing list I got from Jerry. He spent 10 minutes speculating on 'what his angle was' before deciding it was either a way to build a relationship for future sales or that Toyota (and not Lexus) offers a volume incentive plan for sales of the extended warranty. Both Jerry and the dealership I bought from are in KS.
I worked with Jerry today and grabbed an extended warranty. Great guy and super easy transaction.

Mind sharing what you paid? I left him a message today do both warranty and service quotes. Here’s what a dealer quoted me locally even though I’m not buying from them.

This is in the San Diego area. My car hit Long Beach last night and I’m expecting delivery in a week or so, trying to lock down my finance dept info before the date of signing. Anyone else w up to date pricing would be appreciated.
I went with the 7 year 100k warranty and it was $2300.
Anyone in CA OR or WA ever have an issue with an extended purchased out of State? One of the discount extended warranty dealers says they can't sell to CA OR WA. My son goes to Univ in another state. Extended doesn't become a factor for years. Thoughts?
It took a few weeks. I texted and called. He eventually called me back. Texting seems to be the way.
I've heard that it sometimes takes Jerry a week or two to respond. I think he's pretty well swamped with requests - his name and contact info has been swirling around the internet for years as the go-to man.
i’m pretty sure that the Warranty can be canceled by the new owner for a prorated amount.
I confirmed that you are correct. If warranty is canceled by second owner, second owner gets the refund, LOL.

Dealer here gave me, 3 years of service + 10 years of warranty or 125,000 miles what comes first.

Gave you as in didn’t charge you for it? That’s a pretty sweet deal. I paid $3750 for my 10 year Lexus warranty.
