GX550 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread (6 Viewers)

I have a 33.7 spare on my OT OEM 18” rim which fits perfectly snug. If a 285/70/R18 someone is considering is 33.7 then it will fit. Much larger then it may not fully recess.

If you have a 2025, I believe some owners on the forum said 285s fit on the stock suspension with no rubbing too. That would help fill up the wheel well.

Information overload in here. So many beautiful trucks.
Currently I’ve got a24 OT stock. Factory tires are at their end of life so I’m working through my options.
Options:
1. Install '25 front springs and go with a 285/70 Toyo AT3 stock wheels
2. Install the ready lift 1.25" level kit and go with a 285/70 Toyo AT3 stock wheels
3. Go with the Wescott 3" and then this is where I am torn. Going 285/70 allows for a set of 5 given they should fit in the spare well. But will they look too small with the 3" lift?

Anyone running 285/70s with the Wescott? I'm having a hard time thinking of paying the price Lexus wants to charge for the spring install and the Wescott/Ready lift is pretty similar install/labor price.

Our premium plus should arrive at the dealer in the next day or two. Not a fan of the wheels but I'll try them out and see if they grow on me. I plan on getting the OT wheels for winter tires.

Seems vossens are a common choice. Is there a particular reason why? I don't know much about aftermarket brands.

I was afraid I'd run into the same issue as my 4Runner with everyone using the same black TRD wheels, but there aren't as many 550s in the road.

I think the Vossens are common on the GX because many owners are coming from 20" or 22" factory wheels and Vossen makes GX fitments in those larger sizes. On the Land Cruisers, most stick with 18" wheels unless they run OEM 20"s with A/T's so you see more Methods, Volks, etc.
