VF Tuner ECU/TCU Tuning for the GX550 (1 Viewer)

Running the 93 tune for a month or so. Big difference in get up and go, smooth shifting and probably at least a 2 mpg increase. Very happy and would do it again in a second!

Hi there,

Can you reply to my emails, VF tuner?

I sent you an email with 7 day access to the Australian GX550 wiring diagram to assist you in locating the correct can connect location. I haven't received an email response in two weeks and at this point, am seeking a refund. Disappointed with the product and service.

Good morning,

First, we are very sorry for the delay on this and we are committed to getting this resolved. The last 2-3 weeks we have been beyond swamped in orders and product testing, which has caused some delays on our side. It is not our normal way of operation. I hope you can understand. We are trying to get everything caught up and updated.

Early update by any chance?

Well, for one, they are struggling to send out their product, as I've been waiting for a few weeks now for them even to send out my tune. This is my first purchase with them so hoping this isn't indicative of quality, support...etc. to come.

Check that: I just saw that they sent it out yesterday. :)

how are you guys okay with voiding your warranty with a tune when this same engine has tons of problem in the tundra

Pretty sure the issue was retained metal shavings after they upgraded a previously plastic part to metal for 2022-2023 vehicles and was resolved prior to GX 550 production.

The last few weeks we have had way more orders than expected and some of our component suppliers delayed a piece way beyond what was expected.

On top of that, tariffs are starting to become reality, and we are the ones to pay it.. contrary to the mantra of "China will pay for it" I just paid $300 tariff on a $500 package...

The upcoming cool bits we should be able to announce before the end of the week.

Toyota and lexus have very good warranties. Several folks on the Tundra side had heavily modified trucks and still got new engines.

Also, the tunes are not easily detectable by techstream/GTS/other tools.
Finally, our method of flash does NOT register with GTS online, as the BCM is never pinged (so your info/VIN/car/last Flash/ etc is not registered with toyotas servers permanently). Other tools that do online authentication / online BCM authentication may permanently register your vehicle as "being flashed" in toyotas servers...

I feel this. I bought a 1500s antique from Europe and got slammed with $450 in tariffs. Like.. how am I supposed to buy that as American made 😂.

The tune cannot be seen by a tech due to how Toyota programs their ECU , these tunes are more common than you think
wishful thinking. if they want to find out they will find out. if you are going to tune you have to be ok with voiding your warranty, which i suppose might be an acceptable risk to some based on performance, drivability, and other MPG improvements. but you have to accept that going in.
is the LX the same exact engine and turbo size? if so i wouldn't mind getting the stock LX flash once the warranty period is over

exactly. All these people saying "these tunes are undetectable" are full of bs.

If lexus wanted to find out, they will. You can bet they are going to send out master engineers if you need an engine replacement, look over all data logs, and find out you had/have a tune. There's no hiding a tune... if you tune your truck accept that you void your powertrain warranty.

Its crazy to me someone would risk a tune with the tundra engine problems, no matter if it was a machining defect or not. The gx550 is still new...
