SQUEAKY BRAKES (1 Viewer)

Got mine done today!
Do you hear or have clicky sounds when turning the wheel while slowing braking? I hear metal clicking sounds when turning the wheels while slowly backing up or moving forward.

Going back to the dealer to have check it out.

Mine is scheduled for the next service in October. Got a call from the dealership last week and they just got the parts (just took 3 months...). I just reached 6K miles.

It’s still at the dealer. I couldn’t pick it up today. I’ll be picking it up tomorrow and see if the same thing happens and let you know

Picked it up today and the brakes are quiet. I tried breaking while turning several times and all was good.

Thank you. I'm positive the clicking noise is not related to the front brakes. I'll have the dealer check it out tomorrow. Hoping it won't have anything to do with suspension components.

I'm taking mine back to the Truck Shop tomorrow morning because i get a click when making a full u turn. Wonder if its related. I called them and they asked me to bring it in. I like that they are so responsive.

I'll keep you posted on what I find out. Seems to be coming from the steering column. Maybe related to the parking brake because it is the same sound.

Just an update, clicking sound when turning was from loose bolts for the skid plates. Apparently, the Lexus tech didn't fully tighten the bolts so it was creaking on turns. I have the NYTOP full skid plates.

This isn't the first time this has happened. The first oil change resulted in fully loose bolts which fortunately did not fall off during driving.

I’ve heard some horror stories about loose bolts, missing bolts and wrong bolts on skid plates I still have the OEM plates so I asked the service rep to make sure the bolts stayed with the plates and are properly replaced

I don’t know why Lexus/Toyota didn’t make a removable flap for oil changed

My Overtrail brakes started the squeal problem after the 6 month service, so the North Houston dealer added me to the replacement parts "wait list" in June. After 3 months, I have moved up to number 62 on the list - welcome to waiting again in Houston. Interesting that my neighbor with a Land Cruiser had hers replaced less than 30 days after she complained to her Toyota dealer!

Northside Lexus in Houston put me on a waitlist when I mentioned the squeaky brakes. They said Lexus sends them a limited number of kits to fix. I started at number 63 not the waitlist.

My 2024 OT+ had the squeaky brakes. It never bothered me much for the first 10 months except for the one time my neighbor asked me if my car was OK.
The dealer couldn't replicate the problem but asked me to record a video the next time it happened. I did that and on Aug 12, I showed them the video and they agreed to replace the brakes according to the TSB. They initially estimated a 2-3 month wait time for the part but then on August 28, they were called me to say the parts were in and on Aug 30, I was able to get the new brakes put in.
