Got the tune installed, finally.

Now, where do I find information that will help me understand how this tune is different than the original? What does the TCU tune do? How do differnt drive modes impact the tune.

I've searched the VF Tuner website and scanned this thread.

Thank you. I used the 91 + TCU tune.

Just did a quick test drive and the butt dyno says, "worth the money; a noticeable difference".

The transmission clunk is still there, but I didn't think you guys had absorbed the recent Lexus update yet. I'm really hoping you do as my dealer is 3+ hours away and I really do not want to have to drive all that way. Is it reasonable to expect you may be able to fix it once you see what Lexus changed in the TCU?

I've found that the VF tune really shines when you're cruising along steady at about 30-40 mph....you press the gas just a bit, then a bit more, and the acceleration really comes on like a strong punch.

No, it is still on our active work list. Being unable to access australian tech docs directly has made this a challenge.

We just need access to the techdocs one more time and if you can point exactly where you found it on the tech doc because we tried but could not.

If anyone has had the dealer update for transmission issues PLEASE let us know and READ your new ecu and submit if to our email.
We will send out updated calibrations for everyone which includes the new fixes.

Nobody has quite yet but more folks have ordered kits so we expect to get the file readout very soon.

If I had to guess they modified shift points and a few little torque tables to match.

Also we have something super cool coming soon.
You guys will be able to tune, datalog, view live data, switch tunes, etc all from your phone

Damn that's cool. In fact, I will be picking up my new Lexus GX tomorrow, and plan to purchase the tune shortly after. Maybe my recently built car will have the update.

Sorry guys, got sick as a dog up north (kids gave me their leftover cough/cold/strep) and I’ve been out of commission. Will try to figure out how to read the file tomorrow or Sunday.

The problem I experienced was in DOWNshifting from second to first, as when you are decelerating as you approach a stop light or stop sign. This truck has a very aggressive downshift program (too aggressive in my opinion - should let you coast along in higher gears in Eco mode). When you are nearly stopped the truck jumps into first clunks and stutters and lurches a bit. It almost feels like you hit a big pothole and got a little bump from the car behind you all at the same time.

On a completely different note, I am very interested in your tuning package. I had it in my shopping cart but I'm waiting for someone else on this board to go first on this one!

I have never felt such an obvious "clunk" downshift in my OT, '24 model, about 3100 miles.

Go to your dealer and get the Technical Service Bulletin update for your transmission. Makes a world of difference. Print out the TSB and bring it to your delaer:
