It's just the video, The highs are definitely more vibrant, but not overpowering. The bass also doesn't get captured well on an iphone mic. All the settings were still at the middle setting for these tests.Thank you so much for sharing and providing more details. It does sounds different. Do you feel the voice is overpowering now? It may be just the video
Was it hard to pry off the speaker covers for the corner dash speakers? Use a trim removal tool? I want to swap my speakers out but need help with getting the adapters. Thanks for your help. The speakers in the dash were a 2 out of 10 difficulty. Only thing is that someone on here (or the LC250 page) 3d printed me speaker adapter rings and I bought the below speaker harness adpaters so I didn’t need to cut/splice anything. The kicker speakers have different screw mounting locations and are a bit taller in height.
Thanks for letting the rest of us know. Please keep us updated.Ok...first issue when starting up this morning. I heard a soft thump from the speakers upon start up. I tried to recreate it, but could not, but have experienced this with previous audio setups when the amp powers on. I'm gonna let the car sit and try it again. I've sent the issue to Beatsonic for their comment.
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
Will you kindly tell us if your GX 550 is equipped with any aftermarket equipment?
Also, when the thump occurred during start up - how much time did you give your GX before the last vehicle turn on?
Generally, a thump sound upon car start up is due to the amplifier turning on before the factory audio system has a chance to turn on. We have a delay built into our amplifier to prevent this situation, but I would like to look into this further to investigate the scenario you encountered for the thump sound to occur.
If you can provide as much information as possible will help us out greatly.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Do you think it has anything to do with the upgraded kicker speakers in your dash?Super quick reply from Beatsonic

Thanks, btw I’m looking into swapping out the two dash speakers on my GX also. Was there a big difference between stock and the Kickers? Worth it?It's not likely since it seems like an issue with the amp power up, but I disclosed that I made that modification on my response to them.
Thanks, wondering if anyone else is getting the same noise at start up. Was it a loud thumping noise? If you are getting the beatsonic, I'd honestly wait to try it out stock before making the change. With the stock amp, there was some noticeable difference in clarity with the speaker upgrade. The speakers are about $100 bucks with the harness and adapters, but the stock speakers should perform better with the Sigma amp.
I might swap back to stock at some point to see how the stock speakers work with the sigma amp for curiosities sake.
Did you check it again? Does it happen every time at start up?it wasn't loud, but it was a noticeable thump like a boot being dropped on carpet
I deactivated the fake exhaust tone, so I can't comment. Nothing noticeable about the active noise. Should operate the same as stockDo you notice anything with the noise canceling or the sport mode pumped in engine sound …. That’s my concern
Installed my new Beat Sonic, made a huge difference in my opinion. Clarity, bass, super great! Stock speakers, well worth the $$$ I feel. Install was easy, hardest part was figuring out how to remove the stock cannon plug on the amp, not that much room for your hands under there. The lighted door sill, could not figure out how to disconnect that cannon plug so I let it dangle, it was fine. My left hand did get a bit bloody, but was worth it.
added a tip on my previous post -
- play with the latch on the beatsonic harness to see how the mechanism works so you know how to remove the stock plug from the stock amp.
When you next start up your car after it's been sitting a while, can you please listen to see if you get a thump from the rear.
